“I'm checking on snow amounts Tuesday (10th).
There could be some precip Sunday night maybe Monday. I'm bringing some micro spikes, snow boots, just to give me an option.
A couple years ago we hiked this section with temps at 50 degrees with mostly clear trails with snow drifts remaining and some 3 foot deep.”

“Those drifts were rather packed and we didn't have a whole lot of post-holing.

That was 2005 when we hiked that, Fridge.

I will wear boots, it's kind of rocky in places.

Everything east of the Allegheny Front Plateau(Dolly Sods and Roaring Plains) is dry forest and that's where we will be.
We will be lucky to find any mud.”

We could meet up with Jackstraw in Petersburg Friday morning and then go south on Rt 220 and on to the ridge top campsite by the forest road.

I suppose Fridge and Spam would be approaching from Rt 33 and Franklin, WV, then north on Rt 220 to the same place.”
