Home made gear links?

“A buddy and I have decided to try our hand at home made tents. Neither of us have any sewing skills beyond the mandatory home economics projects in elementary school, so we're giving ourselves until the fall season to research, design, and build.

Been doing plenty of browsing - but if anyone knows of links to good sites with info pertaining to the subject I'd really appreciate you posting them. Anyone who knows of good books, films, whatever post away as well. And of course, anyone with personal knowledge I'd love to hear it if you are willing to share your trade secrets.”

“Thanks for derailing me there guy. I haven't started the tent yet and now I can't do any more research on it b/c I keep getting side tracked by stove threads. I'm going to have to go home and make a dayum stove to get it out of my system before I continue the tent project. At this rate I'll never see the woods again.
