I brewed my weekend Kona a bit strong, and half way through my fourth cup I realized why I kept double punching the keys! OMG!

I like a good strong coffee.

My buddy said once of my strong coffee on a backpacking trip:

"Do I drink it? or save myself the time and trouble and just dump it in my underwear now and get it over with?

I like strong coffee too, but this seems to have a higher caffeine content than your arabian or columbian dark roasts. I'm finally starting to come down now. Thank God.

Steve, have you ever thought that fella was just saying your coffee is crap? j/k

Wow meanie... That sounds like a serious personal problem. ;)

And isn't it a little late in the afternoon for coffee? That stuff will stunt your growth! hehe

When a man says he's cutting down on the coffee it's usually bcs he's dealing with stunted growth--you know, "blood pressure" probs and all.

Knew a guy who liked to just stick a decent-sized mug under the 4-shot espresso machine.

I told him that drinking those quadruples couldn't be good for him!

(Better than snorting meth I guess!)

Spindle's got an excuse.

I, however, am just being a bum today. i.e. Got a massage, road the motorcycle a little, and now I'm making N_G's pasta sauce.

Tomorrow's another day of puttering around on the motorbike. :)

“Steve, have you ever thought that fella was just saying your coffee is crap? j/k”

Nahhhh...He is always willing to partake in some, though he doesn't like to be too far from a back up roll of TP after a cup or two when we hike.

meangreen, you think I upscaled my social circle? Nothing could be further from the truth.

In fact I've landed myself squarely among the poser-no-backpacking-crip-listers who regale those around them with tales about when they used to backpack bigtime back in the day. (for me that would be on New Years '09)

If you're still jacked up on the go-juice you can come clean my house. I'll pay you in beer to take the edge off. Weyerbacher ok?

And when he's finished with your place, he's more than welcome to come this way and clean mine. :D

But ya know, since you're layed up and all, I'm sure we could fit him with a kilt, put a vacuum cleaner and cooking utensils in his hands and have endless entertainment for you.

Just send me pictures.

Give him the Blithering Idiot. It will be so worth it.

Shooooot, about the time I finished running the vacuum, and a six-pack it'd be all over. LOL!

So you've decided to stick around backpacker.com for a while longer huh?

The longer coffee beans are roasted, the more caffeine is burned off.

I like coffee but I only have one cup a day; two if it's a rough morning. All I want is one single cup so strong that it induces colon birth.

That's a good cup o' joe to me.

Funny, coffee hasn't had that effect on me in a long time. I suppose I should be grateful. It does make me wonder what a coffee enema does, though. Does it cause spasming as well? That might be a bad thing, during the procedure.

Sorry? Someone said kilt?

Meangreen in a kilt, drunk, and cleaning my house? Why YES PLEASE! (Private file pics forthcoming MsD!)

Meangreen, I'm miserably out of action until mid to late May. I find a great deal of entertainment on both forums...and have no where else to be right now. And pills, a LOT of pills.

Please go hike and post a pic-heavy report, please? Lot's of bekilted leg shots would be great, thanks. Help a sistah out here.

Is there an age limit on being bekilted?

Would ya settle for clam diggers, Spindle?
MarkO

No. Kilts are ageless.

Clam diggers are not the same. Not the same at all, and it's my little housecleaning fantasy.

There needs to be a kilt.

Are you broken Spindle? Sorry to hear that. Tell ya what, you pay for the flight and the kilt, and I'll come clean your house while wearing it. No charge.

Marko, what's up with the kilted posers and western music? Strange combo really.

Notice how a thread originally started about caffeine overload quickly morphs into scantilly clad kilted med cleaning houses once Spindle, and MissD show up?

We are just trying to keep things interesting around here. No harm, no foul.

Well, only foul when no kilts are worn. It's unacceptable...

Especially when spindle is laid up.

Nigal

So what's the specific gravity of the situation, Spin?
MarkO
7:19:14 AM
3/05/09

I drink instant as a matter of convenience. On the trail it's light, and there's no waste. That's efficiency. At home I will frequently drink instant on the mornings I work because things are too harried and busy to put my percolator together and watch that it doesn't boil over, but on the weekends... It's a big strong pot of the good stuff! For some reason that batch really hit me hard.
meangreen

Because you've been drinking sissy coffee water for the rest of the week.

MarkO I like a seasoned gravity around 780.

Naked drinking coffee....

So Grandma and Grandpa are drinking coffee one morning and Grandma looks at Grandpa and says,"I don't know why but my tits are burning for you."

Grandpa looks up from his waffle and says,"Simple one is in your coffee and the other is in your eggs."
