I have no such dreams............anyone else?

I had a dream one night of getting a clearance. Had to change the sheets in the morning.

Icky, like I said before, your definition of "terrorism" is politically loaded, and using it to define terrorism in the context of 9/11 is intellectually dishonest. You're too biased to admit that there is a categorical difference between localized jihadism or terrorism of opportunity and global terrorist networks on the order of circa 2000 al qaeda - i.e. a global threat. You bringing up the anthrax attacks is a great example of the duplicitous nature of your logic.

Bush pretty much stamped out the highly trained, highly funded terrorist networks with global reach. There has been no terrorist attack on the 9/11 scale since 9/11. AQ is in ruins. What you're trying to conflate with a worldwide threat is indigenous islamofascist populations engaging in simple operations with highly localized damage. Or, as in the case of Iraq, a convergance of such types from the local region. These are not highly trained operatives in a highly coordinated network capable of covertly placing themselves in foreign cultures and engaging in precisely timed attacks resulting in global impact.

Did Bush stamp out 9/11 style terrorism? Yes, apparently so, if you want to be optimistic. Did Bush stamp out the jihadist style attacks that you inanely equate to global terrorism? No, and no one likely will any time soon.

If other countries don't want to get serious about fighting terrorism, that's there business. And that's why they are being attacked. I hope you don't believe that terrorist aren't interested in attacking the US and just prefer those other countries. My fear is that Obama relaxing of the methods we have used to defend our country will resort in attacks of which you speak start showing up here.
