Maybe it's because I was responding to the TITLE of the thread. And the first few posts (including one of yours) acknowledged the legitimacy of the Title. Otherwise you'd have stepped in first thing and said, "Why must there be only liberals and conservatives?", right? But you didn't, so it was tacit approval of the title. Sheesh.

I happen to consider myself a Liberal Democrat as I am a registered democrat and find my personal political leanings being to the left of the mainstream. Even if the word Democrat weren't used, I'd still be 'liberal'... so... Most people fall somewhere between liberal and conservative on various issues. Social issues. Economic issues. etc... Every person is a unique individual and therefore can't be completely defined simply as liberal or conservative... there's a whole lot of gray area, I understand that. But in the CONTEXT of THIS thread, I chose to play along with the original title (and so did you) so don't cry foul now.”
