“Tarabull and I are picking up one of these (used) from my dad this weekend. He put just over 200 miles on it and is now getting the Ruckus because it has wider tires and he occasionally rides through sand. We live in a fairly small town so this will be perfect for us and will allow us to go down to one car. MPG is awesome!

“I ride a 78 Vespa and am current building up a '72. Gas mileage, ease of parking, splitting lanes are all great advantages of scooters. They are the ultimate urban vehicle.”

“My 1978 Yamaha XS650 was good for 60 mpg on the highway. That was after changing the rear sprocket from 34 to 30 teeth. That added seven miles per hour to the top end and jacked the mileage a bit.

“The color is...wrecked. I haven't decided on a color for the new one but it is going to the stripper next week to be blasted to the metal and primer etched. MY '78 makes about 17 hp at the rear wheel and is pretty heavily ported. I like burning the new twist and goes at lights...I don't do plastic.”
