Honda Metropolitan “Tarabull and I are picking up one of these (used) from my dad this weekend. He put just over 200 miles on it and is now getting the Ruckus because it has wider tires and he occasionally rides through sand. We live in a fairly small town so this will be perfect for us and will allow us to go down to one car. MPG is awesome! http://powersports.honda.com/2008/metropolitan.aspx ”4:21:39 PM 3/24/09 “Your gonna be cute riding on that thing man! ;)” 4:58:11 PM 3/24/09 “I know a lot of back roads, lol.” 5:02:02 PM 3/24/09 “Non, they are fun. I have a yamaha vino 125cc. great for scootin around town! Yo bear!” 5:06:11 PM 3/24/09 “You'll put your eye out with that thing. ;-)” 5:12:35 PM 3/24/09 “Awesome! I love the retro styling. I'd love to have a Vespa. Do agoogle search for "Scoot 66" and read about a scooter adventure two guys had riding on RT 66.” 3:54:59 AM 3/25/09 5:44:24 AM 3/25/09 “ ![]() This here's a scooter!” 5:46:18 AM 3/25/09 “ ”7:59:47 AM 3/25/09 “I ride a 78 Vespa and am current building up a '72. Gas mileage, ease of parking, splitting lanes are all great advantages of scooters. They are the ultimate urban vehicle.” 8:03:09 AM 3/25/09 “My 1978 Yamaha XS650 was good for 60 mpg on the highway. That was after changing the rear sprocket from 34 to 30 teeth. That added seven miles per hour to the top end and jacked the mileage a bit. Rosey, do you have a pink one? Or perhaps.....................a rose-colored scooter?” 9:06:15 AM 3/25/09 “The color is...wrecked. I haven't decided on a color for the new one but it is going to the stripper next week to be blasted to the metal and primer etched. MY '78 makes about 17 hp at the rear wheel and is pretty heavily ported. I like burning the new twist and goes at lights...I don't do plastic.” 10:23:51 AM 3/25/09 “"I like burning the new twist and goes at lights...I don't do plastic." Rosey You gonna twist one up and burn what?” 11:10:46 AM 3/25/09 “Whatever east coast shwag you're bringin!” 11:15:39 AM 3/25/09 “Canadian Hydro, eh?” 11:19:05 AM 3/25/09 “I think this one is pretty cool. Plug in hybrid, 4 different performance modes, 170 MPG in fuel sipping mode. Piaggio MP3 Hybrid ”12:01:31 PM 3/25/09 “Yeah, I have ridden the MP3. It's pretty weird but you can really lean it over. But jeeze, I think the combustion engine model is like $8-$10K out the door!” 12:05:58 PM 3/25/09 “I have always read that they are fabulous machines. You can guess that the hybrid model isn't going to be any cheaper than the standard ICE models.” 12:16:13 PM 3/25/09 “ 1:40:39 PM 3/25/09 “Put some cafe racer bars on that thing already!” 1:42:33 PM 3/25/09 “That's a 1978 Rosey. I had my fenders, tank and side covers painted Shamrock Green. I put straight bars on mine and decided not to trim them since they fit my loooooong arms just fine.” 1:58:17 PM 3/25/09
