Favorite Northern Colorado Trails after 9 months “After living in Fort Collins, CO for nine months our favorite trails are as follows: Alberta Falls to The Loch Trail, Arthur's Rock Trail, Chautauqua Park Flatiron Trails, Gateway Natural Area, Greyrock Mountain Trail, Grizzly Lake Trail, Horsetooth Rock Trail, Lily Mountain Trail, Mount Margaret Trail, Mount Sanitas Trail, and Red Mountain Open Space (opening in June 2009). what trails should we hike next?” 2:28:27 PM 3/26/09 “Rahwah” 3:17:55 PM 3/26/09 “ditto - go up to Rawah and hike up to the lakes. The storm will keep the road closed for a few more weeks still though. Check out the East Portal trailhead over by Rollinsville as well.” 3:54:46 PM 3/26/09 “thanks! Rawah sounds great.” 9:16:50 AM 3/27/09 Indian Peaks “Crater lake is awsome” 1:24:35 PM 3/28/09 “Thanks. A couple of weekends ago, we had fun in Roxborough State Park on the South Rim Trail. The geology and wildlife made for a unique experience. We don't get south of Denver very often but Roxborough State Park is definitely worth a repeat visit.” 11:06:10 AM 4/07/09 “Hewlett Gulch in the Poudre River Canyon was a fun mountain bike ride but it also looked like a fun backpacking trail too.” 11:10:33 PM 5/12/09 “My favorite northern Colorado trails were in Wyoming. But that's cuz I never spent any time outside ski resorts in north CO. Bet there are some nice trails and no crowds.” 8:20:44 AM 5/13/09
