“Heck XL...tried ta drown them with the diesel (Water was in short supply)....poured it in at the top, let it soak into the hill, then when there were continuing signs of activity, we needed to light the diesel soaked sand and provide a chimmney so it would continue to burn...enter THERMITE...formed a nice glassy hole into the center of the hill.......all the little ants got sucked into the center of the hill by the oxygen drawn in through their tunnels, and fried in the flames leaping out the top...when it first went up, it blew flaming ants out over the grasslands..we thought we'd start a grass fire...but that only lasted until the fire got really hot...
