Hate speech, one and all
ok pepsiforeskin....let's assume it's 39% approval...that means 61% disapprove...that means they are going against the will of the voters and that we surround them.

You guys really are hateful and intolerant. I don't need your approval though, it's all good, I'm over it. I don't care what liberals think of me. You are the problem, so I don't expect you to like the fact that I call it like it is.

what about vasdevransformosa? Too obscure? I'm surprised you didn't just jump into p3n!sformosa... didn't think of that one yet, did you? Well, there it is. Go wild with it. My gift to you.

And although you don't need ME to continue making you look like a jackass (you're doing a bang up job of that yourself), how, exactly, is stating a grossly inaccurate fact "calling it like it is"? I would consider that to be the exact opposite of "calling it like it is." That's calling it like it IS NOT - Which is either straight up dishonesty or ignorance. And as I'm sure that you didn't write that original little blurb on your own, I'll just chalk it up to ignorance and blame the original author for the dishonesty...

your sensational revolutionary claims and innacuracies may work for the Che-t-shirt-wearing crowd at Starbucks... but when you put something like that out on the internet, don't be surprised if someone checks your facts...

Rasmussen
Congressional Performance
Congress Favorables Up, But So Is Perception That Most Members Are Corrupt
Thursday, April 02, 2009

Twenty-one percent (21%) of U.S. voters now think Congress is doing a good or excellent job, its highest ratings in over a year, but nearly twice as many (41%) also think most members of Congress are corrupt.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that the plurality of voters (43%) still think Congress is doing a poor job

ok, so it's up from 13% to 21%.

WE SURROUND YOU, BIOTCHES!

Bush doubled the debt. Obama's probably going to triple it. The non-partisan Congressional Budget Office estimates that we are in for 1.25 QUADRILLION dollars when you add up all the social security, medicare and other debt.

Their so;lution? More borrowing, taxing and spending. They are killing this country.

I was willing to give Obama a chance. But as soon as he signed that stimulis bill, not even giving the congress time to read it, after he promised he would post on the internet for 5 days any new legislation, and then he didn't sign it for 4 more days after they passed it, I was done. That one act alone was enough. I'm through giving to the lesser of 2 evils. I believe in honesty in my leaders and he doesn't have it. I'm done

What bugs me about this Tea Bag thingie is the way it's being portrayed in the Media as a "Grass Roots" movement. It's not. It's being reported that as many as 10 Conservative Think Tanks (staffed with such republican luminaries as Dick Army, et.al.) have been working on this project for months... There's a Chicago Tea Bag website domain name that was purchased in August LAST YEAR...

This whole thing is planned and paid for by big Repug money... i.e. it is NOT a grass roots movement.

Furthermore, a lot of the Rhetoric being thrown around is aimed at Obama's HUGE BUDGET DEFICIT. They're blaming this all on Obama....

Foul! The biggest difference between Obama's budget and Bush's budget: Obama INCLUDES the cost of the Iraq war in the budget... Bush didn't. Bush used "discretionary spending" to fund the war, therefore it was not part of the budget.

But these loonies weren't out in the streets protesting then, were they?

They are disingenuous.

Moreover, they are not the sharpest knives in the drawer... witness:

At one of the many "Tea Party" protests, this one in Cleveland, not a single participant believes that President Obama was born in the US. Numerous McCain Palin voters, even the organizer, refused to say Barack Obama was born in the US.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GNQUA0bI5b0

And this entry comes from StormFront:

Ladies and gentlemen, I think every WN needs to not only attend the April 15th Tea Party nearest you (I’m going to the Alamo in San Antonio) but then stay involved and help provide leadership to this movement.

I believe that this is the white revolution we’ve been waiting for.
It doesn’t look what we expected but this is it.

I’ve seen probably 50 videos on TV showing previous marches and what strikes me is that the participants are all WHITE. It stands to reason . . . we’re the ones being taxed to support Affirmative Action, Welfare and other worthless social programs. It’s our tax dollars going to ACORN and supporting the 12 million illegals swarming into our neighborhoods.

So we have some gun toting stoopid people who willfully ignore "the rest of the story" in order to take to the streets!!!

All the while, MSM doesn't go out of it's way calm anybody down with actual information and/or perspective. But that's another story....

there are no facts here whatsoever. there's a lot of speculation and sensationalist language, but not a single fact or original thought. d00d, you're just repeating slogans.

Slogans have always been a way for people with power (IE: the government, business, religion) to get the herd to do their bidding. They're empty, hollow statements that use strong language to bring about an emotional response as opposed to an intellectual one. Slogans are a big part of the build up to every single war any nation has ever had (remember 9/11, these colors don't run). Slogans are probably the basis of just about all advertising campaigns out there (obey your thirst, just do it), and they're part of every religion (he is risen, death to infidels).

The problem is that slogans mean nothing, and the people who follow the slogans without looking for factual basis behind them - they've been tricked. Now, although I haven't been exactly nice to you, I do fully support those who protest, even if they protest things I agree with - provided they know what they're protesting. I'm a bit too jaded to think that it's really going to change anything, but I love the entire concept of protest - the true mark of a patriot is one who looks to improve his country, as opposed to saying "love it or leave it" - another slogan, btw.

My problem with this particular protest is that I haven't seen anything solid behind it. From what you've posted on here, as well as what I've read on other sites (including the site you linked earlier), I see nothing but more slogans. The few figures I've seen connected to this protest... they're incorrect at best and more likely just outright lies made on the assumption that people will be so worked up about the language that they won't bother to check them. And until the American people are able to rise above all the BS slogans that they're fed, I don't really see much real change coming.

Maybe I'm wrong and there are lots of concrete points behind this protest... but all I've seen or heard about it are slogans and misrepresented figures.

The concrete points are on top of their heads. This is nothing more than a pitiful backlash against the election of a liberal black man to the presidency and a belated response to Bush's eight years of fiscal irresponsibility and lack of government and private sector reformation. These are the fools who had their heads in the sand, so wrapped up in the "vindication" for 9-11 that they couldn't see the forest for the trees. Suckers one and all.

Those wacos have been at the fake grassroots game for quite some time. It's called 'astroturf'.

They coordinate their message on various madia while renting out space for phone banks to recruit bodies. The first I heard of this sort of thing was during the health insurance industry's "Harry & Louise" campaign in '93, but that probably wasn't the first time. It's all built on a fraud.

For the last time, it's both sides' fault
None of you neo-progresso-cons get it, or ever will, because you're part of the problem, not the solution. Progressive policies have gotten the top 10 cities with the most poverty are run by liberal gopvernments. Your solutions only make our problems in the long run. Yeah Bush doubled the debt and that's unacceptable....yet you accept that Obama is trying to tripple it..so step aside...We don't need you and hope you do stay home. This isn't aabout the partys so politicians aren't involved or even invited.

What's it about then? what's the point? No one will listen? Won't make a difference?

You have to start somewhere. That's the first point.

#2 is that no one is speaking for us, the people. Both parties, BOTH PARTIES have brought us to a government by the government, of the government, for the government. It is out of controll and we no longer have faith in governments ability to handle the power it has obtained. It continues to spend money we don't have, and it is time to bring common sence back to the forefront. The elite ruling class has created a dependant class, while the working class supports everyone. Government solutions to government created problems are not working making our problems worse at an alarming rate. WOrst of all, we are gleefully headed for central control and forced complicity....we are alarmed and we intend to let "them" know about it....535 senators and congressmen, 1 president and vice pres, 9 judges....under 1,000 people controll the government ....how many citizens do we have these days? 250,000,000? 300,000,000? I forget but let me tell you what I do know....we surround them

That's my opinion. This bickering is stupid and a waste of my time. I'd rather be with my wife or kids. So if you're not into it, whatever, I don't care....I don't understand all of your ugliness and attempts to denegrate me with accusations ans pagoratives....but oh well.

I know in my gut that there's a silent majority of people out there who are just waking up and starting to pay attention to what's been going on. Honest, hard working people with common sense, that have been playing by the rules and now are having to bail out the dishonest and lazy. .. . . and this is their country, not the elite ruling class's... if you agree, just go to a rally and you'll see that we are not alone. That's all this is about...common sense and rationality and responsibility and integrity needs to return to government. Both sides have failed us.

I see this thread has around 2,000 hits so Iknow that there's people looking at it, maybe some of them can understand what I'm trying to say and check out a tea party in their own towns....we are not alone

strat the tea parties have to go on to visible political action. In Georgia we have Saxby Chambliss (R) and Johhny Isakson (R)in the Senate. Saxby barely squeaked by in an election that should have been a walk away. (he won in the run off)

Both are moderate to "play ball" conservatives. In my opinion both sides have to be willing to throw the bums out. The sad thing is a lot of people look to their representative as 'Santa Claus' in a suit.

Nah until both sides decide that Government is not the solution we will happily walk down the road to Government Servitude.

For nearly NINETY DAYS now, the silent majority (of the losing minority) have felt the crushing weight of our tyrannical leaders, but NO MORE! NO MORE will we tolerate these horrific and unfair tax increases (for the small percent of the country whose Bush-imposed tax-cuts are now being revoked). NO MORE will we stand for pork and stimulus bills. Did I read the bill? No, but SOMEONE did and he told me it was UNFAIR! It is time we BREAK FREE of the yoke and show the government who they work for! Not the large majority who voted them in and are happy with their work, but US! WE SURROUND THEM!

And how do we do this? What would be the most effective method of REVOLUTION? Why, TEA BAGS of course!

Let's all go out to the barricades and FIGHT THE POWER with teabags. Remember, revolutionary brothers, that we are the far-from-silent majority (of the losing minority), and WE SURROUND THEM.

BULLS ON PARADE!
