It used to post more when it was a war profiteer masquerading as a patriot.

Nowadays all it does is copy and paste the same things over and over. Is it too much of a strain to compose a couple of complete sentences?

As I recall, Bush's spending was a continuing point of contention with fiscal conservatives throughout his administration, or at least the last 5 years.

Obama aide takes dim view of anti-tax tea parties
Apr 19 02:10 PM US/Eastern

WASHINGTON (AP) - Damn the tea bags. A top adviser to President Barack Obama takes a dim view of last week's anti-tax "tea parties," promoted by organizers in the spirit of the Boston Tea Party.

"The thing that bewilders me is this president just cut taxes for 95 percent of the American people. So I think the tea bags should be directed elsewhere because he certainly understands the burden that people face," David Axelrod said Sunday.

The rallies coincided with the deadline to file income taxes, and gave people a chance also to voice frustrations about government spending and corporate bailouts.

The tea parties were promoted by FreedomWorks, a conservative nonprofit advocacy group based in Washington and led by former Republican House Majority Leader Dick Armey of Texas, who is now a lobbyist.

Axelrod was asked on CBS' "Face the Nation" for his opinion on what the show's host described as "this spreading and very public disaffection with not only the government, but especially the Obama administration."

Axelrod replied: "I think any time that you have severe economic conditions, there is always an element of disaffection that can mutate into something that's unhealthy."

"Unhealthy?" the moderator repeated.

"This is a country where we value our liberties and our ability to express ourselves. And so far these are expressions," Axelrod answered.

He's saying that we're all redneck racists and we are a threat to public safety....

Progressives need to grow up and govern responsibly. The path we are on is unsustainable!

The demographics tell the tale. They have to do a major change-up on multiple fronts or become EXTINCT.

What did Schmidt say last week?   Republicans have to embrace the Log Cabin folks!   You know Falwell was pulling some serious RPMs (wherever the hell he is).

"Adapt or die...."   But you don't believe in Evolution, so....

        Oh well!

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom.
What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

Thanks for posting the Garofalo links, MarkO. For a while there the thread degenerated into slap fights and fart jokes.

I found that interview fascinating when Nonconformist posted it earlier.

Leftists should be embarrassed that an angry, narrow-minded, walking case of psychological dysfunction like Garofalo supports their position. Just as anyone who supports smaller, less intrusive government should be embarrassed when nut jobs like the KKK support some of their positions (although I’m sure that the KKK has trouble with support for homosexual marriage and liberty for all).

In typical dysfunctional style, Garofalo projects her self-loathing onto others. She hates all those who do not view the world as she does. She spouts scientific nonsense, bigotry, and pure hatred. Anyone who wants to see people like that take control of government, and redistribute wealth, ought to have serious second thoughts.

I don’t watch much TV. Maybe you guys can help me with this Olbermann issue. Is his show about journalism or is it more in the vein of O'Reilly and political opinion?

It doesn’t do anyone any good to get bent about political opinion shows. But journalism should be about unbiased facts. Unfortunately that seems mostly to be a thing of the past. The economic decisions of the market are speaking loud and clear despite the denial and rationalization of some.

The market even speaks about Olbermann and O'Reilly. What are the ratings for those shows?

Come on arcie, you know you wanna have Janeane's baby.

I don't watch a lot of TV but I have seen Olbermann call O'Reilly and Limbaugh "liars" on TV and he spells out why they are liars.
There is no chance of those guys suing Olbermann for slander because they are liars.
