People who believe in man-made fictional fairy tales, such as Judaism, use "G-d" in place of "God" because somebody could come along and deface it, and somehow that's a horrible insult to God. (He's obviously very concerned with his image, i.e. he embodies human pettiness and shallowness.) Of course, symbolic communication still occurs even through the misspelling, because everyone knows it means God. So, writing God with a dash or asterisk is actually no different than writing God correctly, so the whole exercise is silly and pointless. Like their religion.”

“Foresters are very reliable. Mine has the WRX STI engine and drivetrain. Being underpowered by STI standards, it's waaay overbuilt and, therefore, bullet proof. I plan on 300K + miles. So far, well over 100K w/no problems.
