That's October 9 to 11 right? We don't write dates the same way and I get confused over day or month.

If anyone is heading south on Rt. 15 to I-80 I could use a ride home on Sunday. Otherwise not sure I will be able to attend. Please!!! I'd like to be there but the wife and daughter have to work. Let me know..

Hey Dutchess...have you and Tree decided on this yet?

If you're going to be there I will make us some vegetarian empanadas and chili. If not I'll just make some for the carnivores and supply my own nommibles separate.

I sure hope the trees come this year. Their trips were the inspiration for Masten, especially Ithica.

I'm still looking for a ride back home on Sunday. If you are going south on 15 or I-180 it would not be very far out of your way.

TinCup's got some Eagle Rare to repay you if you can make it. He's bringing his best friend who's fresh out of the Marines. Really good guy.

I can't wait. My first Masten.

Mmmm fresh Marine. He should be able to hold his own with this lot. ;)

T1mberwolf, are you all going up on Friday?

Rev, can't help with this one.

JS and I are going up Tuesday nite and hiking with NG. We have to leave going home Saturday morning. Family commitment.

Yeah, this marine's tough. He's in surgery as we speak to fix his broken humerous. He and my son and friends were grab assin in my livingroom a week and a half ago. As soon as it happened all he said was "Hospital, cigarette!!!"

Needless to say not much hiking for him but he's still committed to making the trip.

Nothing humorous about having one's family committed.

I might head up Thursday evening and I must leave for home Saturday evening.

You gonna fry those vegetarian empanadas in lard, hon?

MarkO, this is PA. Lard is it's own food group. I choose not to use it tho. I am a rebel that way. Please don't tell my neighbors?

Pennsyltucky is not "yankee" by any stretch of the imagination. (S)He will be fine.

Those guys ought to stop for a photo opportunity on their way if they find a Mason Dixon Line sign.

Ya know, they could "horrify" the folks back home in Dixie.

I know Spindle, but to some of those guys Maryland is "Yankee Territory".
MarkO

Maryland is a borderland of residual civil war era-esk confusion. Like a yankee-southern inter-breeding coagulation.

I lived there and never figured out the etiquette for not pissing off one camp or the other in that regard.

Can't blame the deep southerners for calling it yankee. They'd still find deep Pennsyltucky comfortable enough. ;)

I lived in Odenton. The back 40 was still for growing tobacco, yet we could almost lob a rock at D.C.

Odd place.

Looking like I'm gonna have to drop out of this one. I can get there on Friday but I can't get back home on Sunday without a ride.Pretty much intersection of Rt 15 @ I-80 or I-180 and I-80 puts me a ten minute drive from my house.

I don't want to just show up and hope for the best. That don't make sense.
