Instead of making guns illegal, she argues that they have been illegal for individuals to own since the passing of the Bill of Rights.” 1:25:27 PM 5/28/09 “"A viewer of a local TV news station wrote in response to the story of Obama's choice of Sonia Sotomayor for the Supreme Court that it would be 'refreshing to have a Justice on the court who will rule from her heart rather than adhering to the Constitution." This does bring into focus how Obamy got elected. last edited: 5/28/09 1:06:24 PM” 1:50:29 PM 5/28/09 “Well, it certainly does a good job of pointing out the problem, doesn't it? I've said it before and I'll say it again, Idiots shouldn't be allowed to vote.” 2:00:42 PM 5/28/09 “LOL thus showing her desire to disarm honest citizens (as per the law of MEHICO!)” 2:09:01 PM 5/28/09 “if idiots weren't allowed to vote, then only about .01% of the country would have any say in who runs it... which, correct me if I'm wrong, wouldn't be very democratic at all. When was any election campaign about anything BUT tugging on emotions and heartstrings to win votes? Just because they chose the OTHER puppet this time doesn't mean that the idiots are only now appearing. You can't pretend that the moronic majority hasn't elected the best character actor for every friggin election since the invention of television changed the most defining characteristic of a presidential candidate from who he is and what he stands for to how he looks and what emotions his 30-second commercial bits ilicit. all the "non-idiots" can do (and we all think we're non-idiots, but we're probably all, myself included, just as big of idiots as the next person) is try to base their vote on the vague half-promises and actual figures behind a candidate...” 2:17:36 PM 5/28/09 2:26:37 PM 5/28/09 “Newt just got skewered like a pig at a luau. scene 1: Newt calls Sotomayor a racist for saying that she's a product of her environment and circumstances growing up. scene 2: Alito testifies in his Senate confirmation hearings that he's a product of his environment like any human and it can't help but influence his decisions. scene 3: Ditto for Clarence Thomas. Stick a fork in Newt ---- he's cooked. ” 3:05:30 PM 5/28/09 “Poor t*lt.” 3:08:27 PM 5/28/09 “obama is corrupt, his cabinet is corrupt, his appointments will be corrupt, all by design, all on purpose and the media wont tell you because they are corrupt, liberal numbskulls are following them over the cliff...stick a fork in the USA, it's over” 3:13:22 PM 5/28/09 “Eat lots of lead paint as a child?” 3:31:31 PM 5/28/09 “I always thought it was properly spelled O'Bama. I was happy to see an Irishman in office. Maybe I need to watch more TV” 3:48:18 PM 5/28/09 “ah, stratty, I missed you. Still surrounding us? time travel back four years and you'd hear the other side saying: "bush is corrupt, his cabinet is corrupt, his appointments will be corrupt, all by design, all on purpose and the media wont tell you because they are corrupt, conservative numbskulls are following them over the cliff...stick a fork in the USA, it's over" And yet we're still here... because panicky butthurt reactionary rhetoric usually means nothing. Because the government has always been corrupt and filthy and America is still afloat in spite of it or maybe even because of it” 3:52:45 PM 5/28/09 “Don't worry, Barry'll pull Harriet Miers out of his hat at the last minute and save the country.” 4:34:57 PM 5/28/09 “Tilty, the problem isn't isn't that she is a product of her environment, as they say every one is. The problem is that she is using that as a weapon for why she is better that someone else. Many (most?) people overcome a lot of adversity in their life, that doesn't entitle them to special consideration and it doesn't entitle her to be a racist.” 5:23:27 PM 5/28/09 “One Small Difference, Pepsis. Bush invaded the wrong country and started a civil war. You just don't see that very often. I usually just post the number of Americans killed because the Dubya sycophants don't appear to care about the 'natives' who got in the way. There's something darkly hilarious about a creature like Newt saying someone else is a racist.... a former leader of the party built on defectors from the Democratic Party after the passage of the Voting Rights Act.” 5:58:40 PM 5/28/09 “oh, no Tilt, I completely agree with you that Bush might have been the biggest turd in the bowl, and a lot of the reaction to his BS was very justified. But whenever the nation's leading political party shifts, people from the other side always come out screaming about corruption and tyranny as if it had never existed before, when in reality, it's always been there. And these armchair political Nostradamuses love to prophesy the end of the nation and have been since the beginning. If America survived Bush, I don't think it'll be the president that brings us down” 6:36:43 PM 5/28/09 “*snicker* at t*lt's sanctimonious 'morals'. Too bad there isn't a way to just fry the great-grandchildren of people who talk the coalmining industry line. Â Everybody loses, unfortunately.” Tilt 7:26:43 PM 8/20/07 ignore last edited: 5/28/09 6:06:45 PM” 6:54:03 PM 5/28/09 “In that regard neither party will ever screw with the status quo. Neither party will reform the elections process. Neither party will reform campaign finance, in particular. And you can bet neither party will substantially regulate the financial services industry even after their greed nearly collapsed the global economy. The only reason I've voted for one party more often than the other lately is that the other has been so much worse.” 7:16:48 PM 5/28/09 “yep, exactly. They'll make trivial gestures of reformation, but why would they ever really change anything when they're in hog heaven? The bottom line is that you don't amass enough money and power to be a serious candidate for president by always doing what's best for the people... you do it be being a a greedy corporate politician while pretending to always act in the best interest of the people” 7:42:28 PM 5/28/09 “And they have it rigged so no third party can gain traction. Ross Perot scared the crap out of them.” 8:05:47 PM 5/28/09 “OOOOH tilty...you are still so out of touch. Ross Parrot was a political idiot. All he did was give us 8 years of Clinton. That man is just as corrupt as any of them. He was pissed about NAFTA because at the time he had a Free Trade zone in South Texas. Come on son get into the research line.” 5:56:48 AM 5/29/09 “ ”7:32:56 AM 5/29/09 “Which is cool unless the "other guys" get in power. Then using the law of precedence they use your tactics to stomp you. This is called the ignorance factor of libbies. The other thing is HISTORY. Since Bork was illegitimately eliminated from the Court there has been an understanding that the first couple of Judicial Candidates are kinda throw away's (Called Borking). So I am wondering if Sonotmayor was sent up to damage the "hispanic credibility" while taking one for the team. last edited: 5/29/09 7:38:21 AM” 7:36:11 AM 5/29/09 “XL you're only seeing half of it. The conservatives have the exact same ignorance factor about their own politicians. So many people think Obama is the political antichrist and Bush was political Jesus... it's all complete BS. People have to see the faults in all politicians, regardless of the party they belong to. The truth of the matter is that there are plenty of conservatives on here who could find fault in absolutely any decision Obama makes, however good it might be... and there are plenty of liberals who would find absolutely NO fault in the decisions he makes, however bad they are... and either way, it's just blind obedience... sheep mentality... both sides slurping at their own favorite flavor of kool-aid. Bipartisanship is a joke. Belonging to a snigle political party is a joke. This "I vote republican because my daddy voted republican and his daddy before so it don't matter if my candidate wants to legalize child rape, if he's republican he has my vote" is so incredibly bad for this country. If people could pop their little political bubble and consistently vote for the best politician out there (rather than sticking to party lines), maybe THEN this country could make progress in reforming politics” 8:32:27 AM 5/29/09 “Ross Perot became a tool of 'the Party' when both sides of that party stepped on him like he was a bug. No one moves in on 'the Party'. Jeckel and Hyde where the left and right trade sides when the heat gets too hot.” 8:49:38 AM 5/29/09 “XL, you're projecting your dreams with hypotheticals.” 9:13:38 AM 5/29/09 “pepsi..I agree, the parties are just ways of identification. Personally I have worked campaigns for democrats (who were the old 60's Liberals) over republicans because I could trust the democrats. I found fault with just about everything Bush did except the war. In the past few months I have seen stuff that would cause most of the left to crap themselves silly. I am talking operational plans for attacks that would have totally shut down this nation.” 11:44:06 AM 5/29/09 “Okay http://www.nbcconnecticut.com/news/local/Critics-unhappy-with-Sotomayors-role-in-CT-free-speech-case.html Free speech or judicial activisim? You make the call.” 12:27:35 PM 5/29/09 “Libbies hate free speech, unless they agree with the 'speech'.” 12:39:38 PM 5/29/09 “haha, yikes... okay, on a strict interpretation, I'd say that could be ruled a violation of free speech. But, I mean, come on... letting her still run for school government (and likely, if only as a result of all this hype, win) would have made a mockery of any illusion of authority or respect that the school's management had. People can get fired for negative blogging about their jobs... so why would they allow her to still run? ...and since when was free speech permitted in high school? I remember my years of high school being ruled by as much helplessness and fear as a Muscovite would remember the Stalin years. A group of kids tred to found an "anti-religion" club (in response to our school's six or seven religious clubs) and were promptly all suspended. The only reason this is an issue is because of America's culture of "blame someone else and then sue them" for any problem, which was on the rise while I was in high school but has REALLY reached its peak now. And this isn't the fault of democrats or republicans, it's the fault of the stupid people who can't take responsibility for their own (or their kids') actions.” 1:22:32 PM 5/29/09 8:40:30 AM 5/30/09 “You're both wrong again.” 10:21:39 AM 5/30/09 “ Here's a case study for ya ---- There was a fairly recent dust-up at a school I went to years ago. This is one of those "non-denominational but ostensibly Christian" set-ups you see throughout the Southeast. A new Campus Minister (and Tour Guide for prospective students and their parents) was hired and the kids on the school paper thought it would be a good idea to interview him. The kid doing the interview (bouncing baby muckraker) asks the man what he thought about the whole Gay Marriage Row and he said he thought it was blown out of proportion. A few of the school's trustees, who were also big wheels down at the local First Presbyterian Church, heard about it and the guy was out of a job before he even unpacked. Then the rest of the alumni found out what had happened and the President was fired and two trustees resigned. One interesting tidbit that came to light was that our non-denominational campus was open to outreach from any religious group.... as long as they came from the First Presbyterian Church downtown, LOL The former Campus Minister had no interest in coming back ---- ” 10:58:31 AM 5/30/09 “Source?” 3:15:50 PM 5/30/09 8:37:47 PM 5/31/09 “That'll give us 'SixInNine', 67% catholic SCOTUS.” 8:40:40 PM 5/31/09 “ ”5:16:37 AM 6/01/09 “ ”5:23:00 AM 6/01/09 “ ”5:29:28 AM 6/01/09 “ ”5:35:48 AM 6/01/09 “There's something really disgusting about a bunch of fat old white men who owe everything they have to institutional racism calling a female minority member a rascist. Then you have their insect-like defenders down at ground level.” 8:45:26 AM 6/01/09 “fat old white men Poor little t*lt's talking about himself, again.” 8:59:07 AM 6/01/09 “For years, conservative writer and activist Marcus Epstein has worked with the mainstream of the immigration restrictionist movement. He wrote speeches for former Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-Colo.) during his presidential bid, and he’s still working as the executive director of Tancredo’s Team America PAC, alongside Bay Buchanan. Epstein has been targeted for years by civil rights groups like the Southern Poverty Law Center and the One People’s Project, who have obtained Epstein’s guilty plea to a hate crime he committed two years ago. From the U.S. Attorney’s factual proffer: On July 7, 2007, at approximately 7:15 p.m. at Jefferson and M Street, Northwest, in Washington, D.C., defendant was walking down the street making offensive remarks when he encountered the complainant, Ms. [REDACTED], who is African-American. The defendant uttered, “Nig ger,” as he delivered a karate chop to Ms. [REDACTED]’s head. Epstein has pled guilty and will be sentenced on July 8, although he changed his plea to water down an admission of guilt into the belief that “the government could prove me guilty.” A spokesman for Team America PAC confirmed that Epstein is still at work until he leaves for law school in the fall, and an official statement is forthcoming. Tancredo has taken a large public role in criticizing Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor, telling MSNBC that the judge “appears to be a racist.” – http://washingtonindependent.com/45075/tom-tancredo-and-the-n-word” 7:21:36 PM 6/01/09 “Guilty by association.
