Since Bork was illegitimately eliminated from the Court there has been an understanding that the first couple of Judicial Candidates are kinda throw away's (Called Borking). So many people think Obama is the political antichrist and Bush was political Jesus... it's all complete BS. People have to see the faults in all politicians, regardless of the party they belong to.

The truth of the matter is that there are plenty of conservatives on here who could find fault in absolutely any decision Obama makes, however good it might be... and there are plenty of liberals who would find absolutely NO fault in the decisions he makes, however bad they are... and either way, it's just blind obedience... sheep mentality... both sides slurping at their own favorite flavor of kool-aid.

Bipartisanship is a joke. Belonging to a snigle political party is a joke. This "I vote republican because my daddy voted republican and his daddy before so it don't matter if my candidate wants to legalize child rape, if he's republican he has my vote" is so incredibly bad for this country. If people could pop their little political bubble and consistently vote for the best politician out there (rather than sticking to party lines), maybe THEN this country could make progress in reforming politics”

But, I mean, come on... letting her still run for school government (and likely, if only as a result of all this hype, win) would have made a mockery of any illusion of authority or respect that the school's management had. People can get fired for negative blogging about their jobs... so why would they allow her to still run?

...and since when was free speech permitted in high school? I remember my years of high school being ruled by as much helplessness and fear as a Muscovite would remember the Stalin years. A group of kids tred to found an "anti-religion" club (in response to our school's six or seven religious clubs) and were promptly all suspended.

The only reason this is an issue is because of America's culture of "blame someone else and then sue them" for any problem, which was on the rise while I was in high school but has REALLY reached its peak now. And this isn't the fault of democrats or republicans, it's the fault of the stupid people who can't take responsibility for their own (or their kids') actions.”

Here's a case study for ya ----

There was a fairly recent dust-up at a school I went to years ago.   This is one of those "non-denominational but ostensibly Christian" set-ups you see throughout the Southeast.

A new Campus Minister (and Tour Guide for prospective students and their parents) was hired and the kids on the school paper thought it would be a good idea to interview him. The kid doing the interview (bouncing baby muckraker) asks the man what he thought about the whole Gay Marriage Row and he said he thought it was blown out of proportion.

A few of the school's trustees, who were also big wheels down at the local First Presbyterian Church, heard about it and the guy was out of a job before he even unpacked.

Then the rest of the alumni found out what had happened and the President was fired and two trustees resigned. One interesting tidbit that came to light was that our non-denominational campus was open to outreach from any religious group....   as long as they came from the First Presbyterian Church downtown,   LOL
