“Plenty of camping on the Creeper between Whitetop and Damascus. The trail goes through National Forest most of the way, and in some sections is paralleled by the AT. If you don't mind bushwhacking a bit, just go off the trail and make your own space if the regular campsites are full.”

“4 more days then I hit the road. Can't wait!”

“There is no preparing for Attila, you just have to brace yourself and let it happen.”

“I'm heading out this afternoon to get about half the drive done. Haven't decided to start out east thru Indiana (shorter) or start out south (more interstate)though TN.

That flood in TN hasn't had any affect on the interstates, has it?”

“Drive safely. See ya on Sunday!”

“The flood has had effects on the interstates! The waters are receding but I would check with the highway department before driving through Nashville.”

“Many of the interstates were under water and/or closed. They may be cleaned up by now but I would definetely call first.”

“No issues driving thru Nashville. Near Knoxville tonight.”

“just going thru my trailjournal from 04. that section from dickey gap to wise that took me and chin 4 days, i did in 2 days (and in reverse order). i'll probably never be in that kind of shape again. too bad.......”

“btw, "took me and chin 4 days" is proper grammar. you wouldnt say "chin and I" there. you could reverse it and say "chin and me", but that is a convention of politeness, not grammar”
