Apostle Islands trip: 2 openings!!

“Just wanted to post that this trip I've planned for the Minneapolis/St. Paul Backpackers Meetup, from July 1-5, has two openings. We have expanded our group to potentially 12 people. We are at 10, so two more could sign up yet if anyone is interested.

It will be a great trip with hiking, (cold) swimming, sunning, relaxing and more. You can take a kayak on the shuttle boat for a $20 fee. (However we will not be renting in Bayfield due to trip limitations.)

We have a group campsite reserved just north of Bayfield, WI for Tuesday night, June 30 for those who want to arrive then, which I think most will. Or you can head up early on July 1 to arrive and be ready to board the shuttle boat by 10 a.m. We'll be on the island the nights of July 1-3 and come off on July 4, when we also have a mainland group campsite reserved.

Please check the trip link above for details. The trip price is $110, which includes the two mainland group campsites, three nights of campsites on Stockton Island (three people in their own tents to each campsite) and the hour-long shuttle boat ride. It would not include your food or carpool/gas. I would ask that you join the free Meetup group listed for ease of e-mail communications.
