Any Geologist or TT'ers with Park Ranger ties?

“I'm looking at going back to school to pursure a B.S. or Masters in Geology. Wanted to know if we had any on the Board.

Kinda want to use it as a way to work in a research/conservationist manner with the government, i.e. the Park systems.

Anyone know a Ranger I could talk to about other alternative routes into their system? Aside from the below degrees, it looks like most have to volunteer several long term periods.

“I have a buddy that has a Geology degree that wound up as a contractor. I have another one with a MS in Biology that wound up as a safety officer at a cement plant. I bet either would be willing to chat about what they ran into after school. Also, embears brother was a forest ranger at the state level in TN. I bet she could get him to chat with you.

Going to be lots of high paying jobs coming open in the next few years, average age of geologists in the oil business is over 50.”
