No real good maps.

Go here, click on maps for SGL 13. It is map 13A. This will give you an idea of the terrain and locale.

You can download all of SGL 13's maps.

this was one of my favotite hikes in the 90s. We would car camp at Ricketts Glen and hike the park one day and the next day head over to Jamison City and we would hike the creeks to the falls. Stomp through lots of nettles swim through chasms where the water is over your head, holding your packs above your head as you swim, trying not to get your gear wet. We hiked as far as a fall above Twin Falls. Jumping the cliffs at twin falls is fun. I wonder if there is still a log over the lower falls. The water is so clear and the beds of the pools are lined with emerald colored limestone, giving the pools a green color, so lovely to swim in. be prepared for freezing water temps, but worth it. I heard they call the area around Jamison City 42 Falls. Not sure if that is true. State Gamelands 13 is a largely trailess paradise.

Wish I could go, but we're going to a wedding, otherwise I'd be there.

best bet is to camp at Ricketts Glen, if you can get a site, otherwise there are several nearby private campgrounds. Last year we camped at one called Grassmere, it's actually very close to Jamison City. Not the nicest of places, but does in a pinch and is located in good distance from all the area attractions... those coming from outta state and want to make a trip of it, be sure to check out Ricketts Glen, Worlds End, maybe hike portion of the Loyalsock. See if you can rent a canoe or kayak on the Susquehanna near Bloomsburg or Catawissa.

The Endless Mountains are a wonderous place.

Helinka,

No camping allowed on game lands. Ricketts Glen is close by and has camping, not to mention its own incredible Falls Trail.

Sounds interesting.

Not as much fun as nettles, skeeters, and slippery moss covered rocks, but fun nonetheless.

I'm planning on it. So far I don't see anything else going on for Saturday. I've hiked that loop before with Jmitch a few years ago and enjoyed the hike. I'm looking forward to it again.

Instead of diggin' the waterfalls I will be engulfed in an ocean of reverb mania and butt-shakin' beat.

Have fun....................Hey, Rich!

Too much reverb makes me want to whack something with a bat until it stops. ;-|

MAKE NOISE STOP!!

You will be missed. :)

Hey Jmitch! I sent you email via the other side. I was stone cold sober when I sent it, so it's safe to open, no worries.

The Atomic Mosquitoes are a bit too shrill for me but The Tritons have a lotta bottom and they get the whole thing shakin'.

Richard plays a Fender Jaguar Baritone(long scale with heavier strings and lower pitch) and Jean rumbles on the bass.
They are gonna wear out that poor (young)boy on the drum kit.

They rock!

Nice.

All drummers should be treated like that. They'd be less trouble. ;)

I'm very sure I was sober at the time, but confidence in the relied upon software is sketchy at best.

Directions

From intersection of 487 and 118 at Red Rock (near Ricketts Glen), follow 118 west for about 4.5 miles. Turn right to Central/ Jamison City.

Follow road to Central for 1.5 - 2 miles. After the Central Park Hotel, turn right onto Jamison City Road. Stay on this road for about 2 miles. It will become a dirt road as it enters the SGL. Park in a parking area at the gate.

See everyone tomorrow!
