The point is that they are (1) intimidating private citizens by asking other private citizens to report them for criticizing his policies (that should be enough right there to cause you to pause, but you mock it instead), (2) collecting information about private citizens who criticize them (website/email addresses/names, etc..), (3) are hindering free speech simply by not wanting to people with opposing opinions to express them.

But yeah, let's defend it and try to call the people opposed to this as loons. Do you have any idea what you're supporting? You're supporting YOUR OWN loss of freedom. Let's pretend you think Obama is a wonderful man/god who will always do what is right. What about the next president with those same powers? If Bush did this, you wouldn't oppose it? Right!
