I've Got a Big Problem With Glen Beck

“.......but I can't really articulate what it is. Oh sure, I can demonize the folks who tune in (along with those who don't) and in their 10 or 20 years of airtime I can pull up maybe a half dozen out-of-context quotes or a picture of an incorrect map, but I really don't have any of my own evidence or ideas as to why they're bad because I don't tune in---I only know what I read and what I hear the other kids saying.

It appears Beck followed directly in the path of Jesse Helms: a career as a radio DJ with no formal training in anything (not government, not history, not foreign policy, certainly not public policy as it relates to healthcare or anything else as far as anyone can tell). He knew how to play records and talk #&%!$ on the radio.

He went on to more closely emulate Rush Limbaugh: the substance abuse, the failed marriages, and shooting his mouth off in a way that massages the wacky right. Dollar Signs, Baby!

I just read a quote where he sees himself as 'Howard Beale,' the Peter Finch character in Network (1976).

Dennis Miller says he's a "shaky cat," � LOL

Thank God I can say this, but ENS, you have obviously NEVER been to a KKK rally. Trust me when I say it is the most frightening group of loons you have EVER seen.

Years ago I had to go as the officer of the engine company where these clowns were holding the rally. There was a rumor they would burn some stuff (burn ban at the time) and we were on scene to "extinguish" any fire.
