“M Silver as you go down the road (Kistler) you will pass several traiheads.The farther you go the trails get increasingly more difficult.Babel Tower trail to the Linville Gorge trail is a nice hike.”

“Glad I stopped in for this one! Great trip. Nice folks. Good cookin' by Spam (chili), jb (Sat. b'fast, turkey soup), windgirl (beef stew, peach cobbler). Excellent scenic hiking. I even learned some new vocabulary (e.g, "libation, "Not my first rodeo" etc.) Thanks to Mr. Spam for organizing, thanks to Mr. Moonshine for an awesome hike on Saturday, thanks to Louise's Famous restaurant, etc., etc., etc.

On my way further South now. Will post my pix when I get back home from Florida.”

Here's the profile of Sat. Hike, I was guessing 4 mi. but wasn't counting the road. Being it was out and back, the ends should be identical, I didn't turn the thing on until we started down the first hill, so we probably made 6 miles.
M. Silver and Moonshine quite a bit farther, I'm regretting now not going along for that one.
Many thanks to Spam, Moonshine and JB for taking such good care of us and making me feel welcome, had a great time! I'll post up some pics later.

where I cooked my first (and last, thanks guys!) meal. Couldn't get my $&*$# car up the hill, so there I was in the parking lot, I hiked in at the trailhead in the backgound and set up my hammock for a great night's sleep under the stars
