It used to be that outrageous hair, extra long fingernails and such practices as binding feet were to show that the 'victims' were upper class and that these measures showed they didn't 'work'.

I gues now it means they don't use modern transport as well.

BTW, I'm taking a tourist friend to a re-constructed Mohawk seetlement (built by Mohawks and archaeologists) when we get out of here.

Everytime I see that type of hair style I remember the joke about the freaky multicolored mohawk wearing kind that sits down next to a businessman at a bar. After a minute he say,"Dude what you starin at? I am just expressing my individuality. Didn't you do anything crazy as a kid?"

The man takes a sip of his drink and replies,"Its not that, I was remembering when I was a crazy young kid I think I screwed a peacock and I wondered if you were my kid."
