Photo requested

“Hello photographers. Would anyone have any interest in taking a picture for a CD cover?

We are seven songs into a ten song CD, and I’m trying to find a picture of a bridge… The one I have in mind would be similar to the one seen in Daughtry's video.. but you only see it like 5 seconds: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIFp7khqBxs

“there's a bridge out here called the bridge to nowhere or something like that (no relation to the bridge in Alaska)... apparently they were planning to build a highway through the mountains but scrubbed the project, unfortunately after they build the bridge - so there's no road leading to or from it - it's just this bridge some 4-5 miles from the enarest road.

If you like it, I can use it as an excuse to hike out there this weekend and take some shots. This site has a picture of the bridge:

“thats a koo bridge actually.. is that the only vantage point? I'm trying to get a similar angle of that in the picture.. but i do like the bridge.. it's unique..

“pepsi -- I prefer the pic you showed me, cos it shows the water.. If you happen to go out there, PLEASE take several pics from several angles... and i know you prolly know this, but at least 1000 x 1000 resolution is helpful when you are doing a CD jacket.

That's not my photo but I have tons at home if you are interested. It definitely has a run down feel if for nothing else, the rough construction alone. It is one of my favorite bridges in New England.”

As a photographer, I'd be PO'd if I found out that somebody used one of my photos without permission.

“I talked to Jeremy some more regarding the exact picture he is looking for. Here are the critical attributes.

1) Angle. Anyone can shoot a bridge dead on. We want a picture from under the bridge, preferably the same angle as the sample picture from the Daughtry video screenshot.

2) Industrial. Nature pictures are beautiful, and I love them personally, but for the CD cover we are looking for something more urban, more industrial. To be fair, the picture of the bridge is not even really a bridge, it is more of a construction gantry of some kind.

3) Sky. We really like the orange-reddish tint of the sky. Maybe early in the morning, or at dusk – but we like the overall composition of the sample picture.

Hopefully that helps some more.”

“This is from far away, but enlarged on the bridge and cropped, it would be fuzzy and might really give the look you want with the red added. And folks, that's all for now, until I look at my photo files on the home computer later (the ones not posted on Webshots!) This bridge is a lift bridge at Duluth. Remember, I do have full-size photo files of my photos... How exciting to be putting out a CD/album/whatever it is nowadays!
