“The current idea is to start at pinch-em-tight and go to Hanson's point for lunch. Then, we'll head east on the sheltowee-221 and end up at the parking lot above angels window. I haven't hiked the sheltowee section in that area and pretty much know nothing about it.

According to the topo there are several creek crossings on the way. I'm thinking that the streams should be running but I don't know how far it is from hanson's point near 221 to the parking area. I'm checking on that. There is an undeveloped camp site on the map before you get to the AW parking area where we could stop for the night, if not before.

I gotta check the miles so this is by no means final.”

“Crash, WG, Brian and me the same crew that went to RRG last November. We were supposed to climb but Jim was sick and we went anyway. It was very cold and raining. We ended up staying at the hostel and sleeping on bunk beds on Saturday night. We played cards and laughed at the totally wasted guy who worked there. Another guy ended up sleeping in the kitchen because of all the snoring in the room we were in. It was fun”

“hey, it was great to get out and actually backpack vs climbing for a change. the company was great (as it is when i climb) but the pack was light and it was fun to get down into the guts of the gorge once again. i drank too much by the camp fire but it was all in good fun. perfect weather too. terrible about the break in but that is part of the story too. thanks for the invite guys!”

Update: there were no charges on my debit card, the window will be replaced with no deductible, I got a new drivers license and I changed my bank accounts. Life is getting better.”
