Aften ten years, I have decided I have had enough of TT. When I first joined the board, this was a fun and interesting, albeit dysfunctional, place to hang out. I felt like I fit right in!

For me, the fun and interest is gone. The catalyst for the problems still exists and I don't see that changing. I will check the trips page from time to time, but that's about it.

I am grateful for having met and hiked with some amazing people, many of whom are close friends of mine today. I will never forget you and all that I learned from you. I hope that we continue to stay in touch through phone calls, emails, FB and the like.

For all of you, I hope that all of your life's adventures thrill you.

Take care and hike on!

Leaving TT is like signing an Indian treaty. Its good to the end of time or until something happens...whichever occurs first.

I feel the same thanks to some of those posters who never go on any group trips but feel like they need to chime in on every thread--they just want to suck the fun out of the place and make it miserable like their offline lives. Keep in touch, see you at Trail Days.

Oh man! The whining is on full-force! Never go on any trips!? Wow! Sorry, next time I'll bring the KFC and grain alcohol and we'll be backpackers together! Get real people. All you do is whine instead of use the board how it's intended. And you think it's somebody else's fault!? Amazing. If somebody doesn't go on one of your burger runs with you ... try the ignore feature. It's truly amazing technology.

hey dub, just use ignore like i do, all i see are little red crosses. sh1t is filtered out for me! if everyone did it, there would be no sh1t at all. we could have a normal conversation like we use to.

I'm there too Dub. But dizzy's right, if we all saw red crosses, the board would improve right up.

The ignore feature would work better if it just took the whole post out of view instead of generating the red cross

yeah, i got the same problem. *sigh* sometimes i wish ignore would make them disappear all together.

The timing is kinda funny with all the old timers & gear threads here the last couple of days. But if I was the man my wife wishes I was, I'd have bailed out years ago. You have my respect, Creek Dancer.

this place works great fo me.Except when post are deleted.I've seen and heard much worse things on the trips themselves than anything I've seen on here.if I say im gonna kick your a$$ on the trail today, lol, that's not a physical threat its just words.you should never ban words people write on here since you can't see there expressions or tell if there just horsin around.it takes away from me being able to judge for myself whether I want to hike or let them in my home.the ones that don't say much and never come out to play are the one I am extra cautious around.lol
