Mammoth Cave Thanksgiving Weekend

“We are beach bound. We will need to take my mother home the day after Thanksgiving and we will spend a couple days camping on the beach at Gulf Island National Seashore.”

“Just curious, your "route 1" goes east towards Collie Ridge CS, and "route 2" basically backtracks the First Creek Trail to Collie Rideg CS?”

“Yeah, I did make it backtrack. That can be changed based on who is going and what type of mileage everyone wants to do. We might want to change the campsite on Saturday night based off from what everyone wants. It also might have to change based on what is available.

“Greetings from Perdido Key! NGB and I have the tent set up about 100 feet from the Gulf of Mexico and will soon be building a fire just below the high tide line. The tide is going out and we have about 3 miles of beach all to ourselves.”

“I am sure it was a good morning at Mammoth Cave, but I doubt the sunrise was as spectacular as it was across the Gulf.”

“Do you think you could rub it in just a little bit more?”

“The name for the trip should be "Muck Dodging or Here We Go Round the Muck Again".
The trip was good. The weather was great! There were lots of horses on the trail. Did I mention that we spent a lot of time trying to avoid the muck?”

“I had a good time! Great to see everyone, execpt the horses,lol.”

“Yeah, except for the f-----g horses and the mudholes they made, it was a great weekend.
