Long time no post. Looking for a 6-10 mile dayhike near Boone. Labor Day weekend. Suggestions?

linville gorge has nice easy loops.jump on the parkway in blowing rock and head to rough ridge and beacon heights.most will be crowded except northeast quadrant of the gorge.drive out 105 to gandfather but you have to pay there.I would recommend roan mtn or laurel fork for great views and less people and a bit farther and in the great state of tennessee.
