Northeast hiking buds wanted

“hey people. my dog and i are getting kinda bored of each other, so i'm trying to see if anybody in the northeast is looking for hiking partners. we regularly do day hikes, but want to get back into doing more 2-4 day-ers. ready and excited for winter camping and backpacking in the snow, also. i live in connecticut but get up to new hampshire a fair bit.

have you tried to see if there are any meet-up groups in your area? I just discovered one here and they are great...they kick my butt on the trail but still great!”

“I mostly day hike in the winter, but I'm Boston and snowshoe in the White Mountains a good deal (just got back from a w/e in New Hampshire). Do try the meetup groups. I can suggest a few in that I use that are in my area that go to NH, Vt and Maine for hikes (try Random, Boston Hiking Group, New England Hiking, and Four Season Hiking Group).
