Bag Nights for 2011

“The beauty of living in Northern California is the weather allows for year round bag nights. Of course that means you must be willing to backpack in rain, hail, sleet, snow, and sunshine. =o)”

“Living in the south my Backpacking year starts Labor Day and continues till Memorial Day. After that you fry or get eaten alive.”

“This was an incredibly bad year for mosquitoes in some areas and non existant in others. Weird.

On the other site is a thread asking how many times you went hiking. I feel sorry for those people - either they don't get out enough or they are just too anal.”

“toejam - You've been around here too long to be bragging and to be bragging about such a small number. You must have been drinking too much or else you've become so sick that you don't know just what you are doing.”

“Not me, I am just a little jealous. I only had 1 bagnight last year. I have been ill, but I am recovering.”

“As big of an idiot as I am, I'm still able to keep a family, live in a beautiful place, and score a month of bag nights. I'm no simer or Jerbear, but I can't help bragging.

“I was at about 25, 9 of them in AK. Seems like good weather and less work determine my bag nights. 65* here today..thinking about riding my bike to the mountains after work today!”

“Total Count for 2011 is 48. It will be hard to top that in '12 but I am going to try hard!”

“I can only think of 16 - that may be all there was. Did a lot more in 2010. I ended up doing tons of day hiking - that's part of the reason I did less this time.”
