Guy iso pet-friendly place [cabin] near [athens]

“Looks like. I start a semi-permanent job in Athens, TN. Need nice safe place to act like idiot and start trouble. Umm.. yeah.

Seriously. Need place close to work where I could let the dog [lab retriever pup, 7 months] out each day: best would be where he'd be free to roam and not get run over.

Thoughts where best to start? what do you think of C/L?.. Or go the route of apartments.com, and what ever web sites.. ?.. my plan?.. is to drive and write down phone numbers of places I'd like to rent/lease. Whatcha think, you kings/queens of the moving process and settling in for a while? Trailer park? mMm.. no?.. but yes, a true "cabin in the park" would rock. Too much to ask to be nearby Athens, TN?”

“With all the homes on the market, look for a nice small house in one of those little towns close by that you can rent cheap!! How far do you like to drive to/from work each day. I really need a friends house to basecamp out near the smokies!”

“I have lived in the Ten Mile area, very nice area. Would suit a dogs life very well. With that Nuke Plant nearby, and going hot, you should find plenty of rentals, Decatur is another sweet spot. Stop at the cross road store and ask questions.”

I rented an apartment in Lenoir City one summer by going to city hall and asking if anyone could help. One or two referrals later and I was in business.
