Given the time zone jump, I am thinking we should be there by 4PM.

What a Thanksgiving meal! Turkey, ham, BBQ, roasted chicken, smoked sausages, oysters (grilled), stuffing, potatoes, green beans...the list goes on and on.

Good company and a great holiday around the fire.

What a beautiful hike on Friday. Not a cloud in the sky and temps in the 60's. Fridge led us up to a peak a little over 5500' that has spectacular views. We bled off a little altitude and camped at about the 5100' mark. Low temps were around freezing but it warmed up quickly. This mornings sunrise was absolutely priceless. My attempts to capture it by photograph failed miserably.

We bailed and hiked out today as I have a ton of stuff to do tomorrow and I have to take my daughter home.

Another TT trip....absolutely excellent....a weekend backpacking with my wife and daughter...priceless!!!

Great pictures! The horses are looking a little fat. Maybe chase 'em around a little next time huh?

We are home. Had a great time this weekend backpacking several trails in Grayson Highlands. Spent Friday nite at Scales and hiked around Saturday. Found the designated Saturday night campsite, gathered up a nice pile of firewood for the evening, but alas, no TT'rs. Sorry to have missed you guys. Maybe next time.

I think she took it out the window and it's something on the glass.

Ahh the glass, I hadn't considered that. Looks like y'all had a great trip. I had no idea there was type of terrain out that way.

Well, you need to drag yourself over this way for a hike sometime.

I concur! I'll be keeping my eyes open for a suitable spring foray we might be able to join. I've got a bum shoulder, thanks to the yoga class I took with my wonderful bride, Buffalobabe. That'll have to get stronger for sure. Then there's my finger, foot, hamstring... Oh and my bald spot. This gettn old stuff is bogus! It's definitely getting easier now that the boys are older though. Hopefully it'll work out. It'd be good to see y'all again.
