How many miles for the weekend?

“I'll be setting at Saunders shelter at 10am Thursday.

Total miles for the entire weekend 18.

No permit fees needed.”

“Camp at Saunders Shelter Thursday Night?”

“yes.”

“Fridge, you're slipping old man...don't forget the overnight parking fees for GHSP.”

“If you do park at Grayson Highlands State Park there is a small fee for parking. I was going to have my Truck parked at Grayson...and my wife shuttle me to Saunders shelter. This will give us a vehicle to get back to your vehicles.”

“I am not sure what time I will be able to get down there on Thursday. But if you are camping at Saunders Shelter I know I could be there by late evening.

I am looking forward to the trip my wife and I where there over the 4th of July. Be nice to go there with someone who knows the area.”

“from parking area to Saunders shelter how far will I have to carry the food?”

“Over on FB Fridge is saying there is a spot to set up at the parking area. Sounds like a non-issue.”

“Eat around 5 ish before it gets dark...or we can eat earlier and eat all afternoon into the evening...”

“Right now the weather forecast for Friday and Saturday suks. Rain and cold rain. I would much rather have snow. I suppose there is still time.”

“Typical for Mt. Rogers warm in the low country but it will be butt cold and snowing @ 4000”

“I used Whitetop, VA for the forecast and it shows cold rain, but things could change. I hope you are right, fridgey!!”
