Planning 2012 AT in Vermont

“I'm planning to continue my section hiking in Vermont in the summer of 2012 from Manchester Center north to somewhere close to Hanover, NH. Any suggestions on the optimal time of the summer to hike that section. I then plan to finish the AT from Hanover north to Katahdin in the summer of 2013. When would be the best time to start north from Hanover in the summer?”
