If so, I'm back.

Finially found a medicine that works so I don't feel sick all the time any more. So I'm trying to do a lot more backpacking again. I kinda had to stop for a while as it was becoming more and more misserable out there in the woods for me. But not anymore!!! :)
Been rappelling, dayhiking, car-camping, biking, and even got a kayak now too this past year. So I'm looking foward to an even better year 2012 from the start :)”

“Nuthin much good, spirit, thanx for askin. Acquired the acres all around us is the big thing this year, been a stay-home-kinda year for us. The kids stayed with family for 3 months in Italy this summer. Left me all kinds of time not to get all the big things I'd wanted to do. I'll be laying out some orchard trees, a good number of grapevine rows, tho not sure yet which ones I'm wanting. Need to get up some fencing to get the chickens off the hill and away from the house (that's not working out too good, I'll hafta admit). Need to prolly get some goats and sheep at some point, but I gotta do me some fencing first. More than likely I'm gonna hafta hire that out, if I realistically want to get some things done.

This fall got the kids into ww kayaking for the first time, I'd seen where you'd picked you up a boat, that's great! Soon I'll be taking them backpacking for their first times (their first time altogether anyhow). Matter of fact, good ole boy Strat here just shipped me his son's external backpack. It's old school, but it's perfect for Silas, thanx Strat ... you da man!

the yak I got is nothing special, more for calm lakes then WW but I got a good deal on it and look forward to really getting acquainted with it next year :) It's a beginner's yak so pretty wide and stable.

Gremlin, I have a tumor living on my pancreas, it causes excessive amounts of acid to be made.That in addition to the hiatial hernia really sucks, but the protonix works to cut the acid production so I feel much better. I was always feelign sick before they figured it out. Could not keep much food down and all that.”
