“I didn't bash him and had nothing against him making the event. I just wish some things had not been said initially and he had done it on the page. If he had done that I think it would have been excellent. He said he did not know he could create the event on the page and I believe him. He tried to make it better in turn making it worse...sheet happens.”

“Attila: Trying to plan on hiking in from the north. Nearest bus station up there I found to the trail is Marion, VA but I haven't found a ride out to where the trail crosses 81 as yet. Hope I can be included in the TT camp at Trail Days. Sorry I started another thread about who's going to be there, I didn't see this one at that time.”

“There will be no problem with including yourself in the TT encampment since you do post on TT. But if you are hiking the AT you will probably have plenty of thrus you'll want to be hiking with. They often carve out their own section of woods and camp together enmass.”

“I am an iffy. I return to the states, april 30. and have intentions of heading to Europe, for a visit. So I will see how it goes in the states. It would be nice to see you all, however I do have the wonderlust going on and..... YO bear!”

“not sure where you read an invite was necessary. Its like woodstock camping where you just throw up a tent where ever you want. we just 'rope off' an area for our group because we like camping together and share our own fire pit. But most fire pits you can just walk up to people and start talking if you are a friendly sort of person.”

“haha, I just went back and reread the page and forgot about all the silly shenanigans on the first page. I can see where you might get get the idea that an invite was necessary. Its not. Its a free for all weekend where we carve out our own little domain for our own pleasure.”

“Unfortunately my wife is backing out, her back is causing alot of problems for her, she has a compression fracture, and there is no way she can make the 6 hour trip there. Would be too painful for her. I will still be there Thursday afternoon. Looking forward to it.”
