With all the electronics you take on your hikes, I'm surprised you weren't born with an antenna sticking our your ass, lol.

ahaa Nimblefoot are you jealous! Yes he is.
Lets see GPS, CAMERA,WALKIE TALKIES,SAT PHONE......Solar Panels 12 volt, Electronic Glacier glasses, Electronic Bear Fence, Electric auto matic umbrella that opens and closes too.
Now go RUB your BALD HEAD....and get that toilet paper out of your ass.

Nimblefoot....when I was born Electronic gadgets was too big and too few. Now when you was a little boy way back then I say there was no such thing as Electronic in your young life. Keep your tin soup cans and I wait for you at camp.

VOX sucks down the juice RAPIDLY do the radios you have allow use of standard alakalines like AA? some use Lith-ION batteries that are built in..that sux cause you can't swap the bateries for a frewsh pair....read the manuals carefully, set the VOX discrimination way low, or casual conversations, even heavy breathing will key the radios and waste battery power...I've found that mounting the radios high on my shoulder straps and using the push to talk switch works best...I have the headsets, but they usually stay in a drawer at home.....

super troll my radios use AA and I use the lithium for longevity. If I need to recharge I use rechargable AA.

Dude, no wonder you guys labored so heavily on the last hike. Ever hear of lightweight? Sure, it's AK, but it doesn't mean you need all that crap.

My pack weight wass approx 45 lbs with a 6 day supply of food with a bear canister, Sat phone.....I think Jackstraw had it near the same and Hiker duane around 35 lbs....now for those others 3.....some where at 50 plus.
