The only thing I liked about what I heard is the rules will be much more laxed (ie. no dead ball) which should make for an interesting game! (and the cheerleaders)”

“It sounds to me like they are making football more like rugby. Why not just go the extra distance and make a National Rugby league.”

The kickoff will be interesting too. One guy from each team, runs to the ball on the 50 yrd line, first one to get it, calls it.

They say it's not going to be fix either. The fact that NBC is airing it and it's not trying to compete with the NFL for viewers has critics saying it has a shot.

“It's lacking professionalism. The NFL is much better organized and professional. This looks like a high scholl game. They need to get rid of all the cameras and the interviews. Just let us watch the damn game.”

“First games and broadcast, a little rough around the edges, I thought. Still, it was fun to watch, and I can only see it getting better.

Here's a little of what I liked and disliked:

Disliked:
- The echo of the mics in the stadium when pumped through the stadiums speakers. It was distracting.

- The overhead cam. Used way too much. Stick with the sideline 50 yard semi-birds eye cam, it's easier to see the formations and is better suited for 2-Dimensional TV.

Liked:
- Hearing the plays called in by radio to the QB, and the QB mic'ed in the huddle relaying the plays.

- Players can put whatever they want on the back of their jerseys, don't have to use their real names. "He Hate Me", that was hilarious.

Not bad, I bet it will get better..and survive more than a few seasons!”

DISLIKES:

bothering the coaches when they are calling plays!

Bothering the players with questions durring the game. There has to be some respect for a man concentrating his energies.

Cheerleader WANNA-BES, that dance like strippers instead of a squad of REAL cheerleaders.

Wrestlers doing bits before the commercials.

Trash talking the NFL! If it wasn't for the NFL and off season, they wouldn't have a prayer!

Note: the locker room didn't turn ut to be what they thought it was going to be!

Overall, might last and might be worth watching. Time will be the teller of XFL's fate. Well, that and MONEY!”

“Comrader will die amongst the players if wins don't happen. Players like rats don't like sinking ships if there is no food to be had. No win no money. Who wants to play for a losing team? I wonder how much they will do it for the love of the game when they aren't winning.

Most of them look winded and tried. Kinda like watching a tough man competition.

Thought I would see more silicon then I did.

Thank God it was not on FOX, Cops and AMW were better.

The ref's look clueless and blind at times.

The camera work was different but the sideline interviews and on field intro's I could do w/out.

“i was too busy watching the sonics get absolutely obliterated by the jazz last night and only got to see a couple minutes of the xfl. if have to listen to that announcer again, i probably won't watch anymore though. he was way too wwf for me.”
