I heard they have a model of the Oval Office in it complete with college intern under the desk.

I caught the Daily Show last night and nearly pissed my pants from laughing so hard! They showed Clinton saying, "Am I the only American that loves both George Bush and John Kerry and thinks they are both great Americans who love their country but just have different views?", the camera cut back to John Stewart and he sat silent and then nodded his head. LOL!

I have heard that whole Clinton “legacy” is so watered down and white washed that it borders on history revision.

Don't worry, Nigal. The spin for the WMD's and all the other bullsh_t that has spewed from the current bunch should be just as laughable for ya when Georgie opens his library! Too bad you may have to wait longer than you would for a new Sopranos episode to get your chuckles! :)

I watched the special last night. Nice library. Nice architectural work.

Nice interview between Peter Jennings and Bill Clinton. I really liked the part when he looked at Jennings, and said, "You really don't want to go there, Peter." -- and then proceeded to rip Jennings a new one. It was great!

The Bush libray will be cool as hell. Four books and lots of pictures! "See Spot run. Run Spot! Run!". LOL!

From what I can tell, the facility is a first rate piece of architecture.

I have been downtown Little Rock three or four times in the past month and there is a strong economic upswing there. I have actually found it is one of the better cities I have been in to spend time downtown.

Chili, I love downtown anywhere. You can take the suburbian mall and chain food places. Down town is where it's at!

I remember going to downtown Atlanta when I was there. This black guy starts yelling at me from across the street and chasing me down. He comes up to me and is shaking my hand saying, "How's it goin' man!". He sees the look on my face and says, "You ain't from the Gold Club are you?". I said no and he starts laughing his ass off and says, "And they say WE all look alike!". I didn't learn until a few years later that the Gold Club is the strip club where the NBA players were busted with hos. You can't meet these people in the burbs!

LOL... I have a fondness for downtowns also.

They have a certain flavor, (LOL) -- you don't forget those experiences.

Suburbs are a cancer on our society. Not only are they an environmental disaster, they also destroy most social interaction with ones neighbors and community. Take most of the bad points of city living and mix it with most of the bad points of rural living and you have suburbia.

Yeah, nigal. That downtown Detroit is a piece of work, isn't it? ;-)

Actually, I prefer going downtown when I visit any city. Some need a lot of work. I really like to see a city revitalize the downtown area and find that it usually turns out to work well for the arts and music crowd.

Here in Dayton Ohio we have what is called The Oregon District. There are jazz clubs and coffee houses and some great eats too. Just don't be around after 2 am though.

Look at what it did for Memphis, James. I remember those days of being downtown -- of nothing but pawn shops and cheap (yelling "10 and 2!") hookers .

Memphis has done a great job rebuilding downtown over the past 20 years; Beale Street, the Pyramid, the Trolley and now the FedEx forum have had a huge impact.

I've been to several. Grew up in Memphis -- Nashville of course.. Chicago, Philadelphia, Baltimore (loved the harbor), Boston, NYC, Cleveland, Atlanta, Knoxville.

Downtowns are great if you enjoy odd and unusual.

LOL -- what happened to downtown Cairo ILL?

Strip clubs & the Prez

Y'all can find the Whitehouse, yes? The "star" designates Archibalds Gentlemans club & Sports bar. The hottest Hotties in DC downstairs and a sports bar upstairs.

A review states that many a man have gotten anyeurisms while deciding which one to choose.

I have never gone upstairs.

One block East (left) and two blocks South on 16th & H (there is no "J") is the "Presidential" Church, forgit it's name.

So on a Sunday the Prez can walk 5 minutes to Church and then walk another 5 minutes for a drink and some entertainment.

As Former US President Bill Clinton makes his first visit the country, one man will be hoping for a man-to-man talk with him.

Godwin Kipkemoi Chepkurgor, a nominated councillor in Nakuru, says he has some social business with Clinton that started in 2000, but of which the former American President has no clue. He seeks the former president’s only child’s hand in marriage.

In 2000 when Chelsea, her father and mother, now Senator Hilary Rodham Clinton, visited East Africa, Chepkurgor, then a Fourth Year student at Moi University, tried to make his intention clear. He wrote to Clinton, offering himself as a suitor for Chelsea.

He offered to pay 20 head of beef cattle and 40 goats to the Clintons in accordance to African traditions.

He'd get both Bush twins if there was any oil under the cattle field. OK, that's a lie, we'd just invade his country and take the damned oil. :)

Bill could take the cattle & the goats, then give him back one of the goats saying it was Chelsea. The guy wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Former U.S. President Bill Clinton is "The Most Influential Man in the World," according to Esquire magazine.

The magazine has designated him as "the most powerful agent of change in the world" despite his lack of electoral standing and the fact he was laid low by a heart attack ahead of last year's presidential election.

The magazine highlights Clinton's accomplishments in its December issue, which goes on newsstands on Thursday, profiling the world's "Best and Brightest" men and women.

Since leaving office, Clinton has been so active that his post-presidency amounts to "a third term" for the Democrat who held the White House from 1992 to 2000, the magazine said. He has tackled global issues from AIDS, poverty and global warming to the recovery from last December's Indian Ocean tsunami.

Esquire editor David Granger argued that Clinton was poised to become "something like a president of the world or at least a president of the world's non-governmental organizations."
