RE: A look in the Mirror
I looked in the mirror,
And caused it to crack,
But alas it's not damaged,
It's the back of bacpac.

RE: A look in the Mirror
Since I last wrote here, the line surely grew
They wonder at my mirror, more than a few
Bigfoot,Bacpac,Walkindude and Cb
If only my mirror would bring me a fee

To guess all around will do you no good
Accusations of each other can be understood
To Oldie, I say, your turn will soon come
Suck that turd Radagast gave you, let me know when your done

Baume and Lobo, you two will be next
Just a little more time, to prepare my text
But now it is time for you Medic Girl
I hope what I say, your hair will not curl

From the Providence of Alberta, maybe Medicine Hat
Southeast of the Yukon, that's where it's at
So quick to flirt, to bring up a thong
What is it YOU wear, for one do you long

You speak of it often, the beer you do drink
Good for the body, the barley, I think
And if it be Calgary in which you do live
The Big Rock Brewery, I think, a visit, you should give

And quick to assume, along with Radagast
That this Troll would be, just like the last
Not so quick, in the future, a Troll should you roast
With Black Amber Ale, to you, I will toast

I do hope Oldie, you took no offense
Rad's line I used, and at your expense
But more to you later, in due time, do not fear
But next in the mirror, Baume shall appear

What image appears, you know I expect
Information on him, is not hard to detect
The time you are here, both day and at night
Much you have said to give me insight

You've said in the past of beer, whiskey and wine
Enjoy it you do,your share of the time
Chemicals are work for you, and acid you make
In this line of business, good care you should take

A bit neutral and guarded in most that you say
Short comments and thank yous, and then on your way
You search for the time, EC trekkers you'll meet
Arrive early, I will, and save you a seat

RE: A look in the Mirror
When I seen this thred I thinked "this is weerd!"
But I got on daddy's sink - a leetle bit skeerd.
I looked in the mirrer - my hairs did not curl.
Know what? I seen a perty Belle girl!

So happy and nice to see I am still perty,
And not like ol'Browny - all stinky and derty.
I hopped and runned in the grasses a'plenty,
And tryed to play games with my buddy Skinny Kenny.

But that kittykitty didn't wanna play gimme dat,
He wanted belly scratches - like ever other cat.
So I scratched his belly for bout a minit,
Long enough to wonder "will the Braves win the pennit?"

Bout round that time, I had some good luck -
Comin up the drivin-way was a black leetle truck!
I yelled at Skinny "Lookit! Daddys' here!"
Then up I springed, and runned like a deer!

When my daddy got out, we started to play.
This is ALWAYS my favrit time of the day!
We runned and resseled and laffed with glee.
We have sooo much fun - my daddy and me.

Then he opend down the backgate of our leetle ride,
And I jumped in, then he set by my side.
I looked at the truck windo, and what did I see?
A 'flection in the glass of my daddy

...and me.

RE: A look in the Mirror
Belle, that's sweet.

Sorry, CB. I did not mean to get such a nasty picture stuck in your head. But all this talk reminds me of a story I have to share.

My step father is a vet, and when I was in high school he mainly worked on cows. Well, I had my new girlfriend (at that time) over for dinner. We were all chatting and having a good time. Dad then pulls into the driveway and comes in the house. He pulled off his boots and coveralls and sat down. So we are eating and chatting some more, then all of the sudden my dad sticks his finger out after scratching his ear and says, "Hey, look. There's sh!t in my ear." I was so emberrassed.

Ok, that's my story. Back to homework.

RE: A look in the Mirror
Ah, Sarabelle, the 'flection of love
Good things and good times, you spoke of above
Now into the mirror, Lobo, you gaze
You are new here, that leaves a slight haze

Most times it is Oregon, the hikes you which you take
With family in tow, it?s memories you make
Looking back from the mirror, good humor I see
Skin thick as molasses, you?ll need or soon flee

No swingin? squirrel are you like, but you say a moose
If that be the case, please, don?t let that thing loose
So if we do meet, we?ll toast with some wine
And being from Oregon, Pinot Noir will do fine

Good bye till the morrow, to all of you, I do say
More reflections to ponder, those of the next day
The line is now blending, in this room you do pack
My mirror, still strong, even bac pac can?t crack

RE: A look in the Mirror
Well I have to agree, it seems to be a nice troll.

Oldie, your story brings back the memories. I grew up working a dairy farm and it seemed like everyday a cow would swat me with their tail while trying to hook up the milkers. Of course, the tail being in the vicinity it is, it seemed to act like a paint brush full of manure. They always seemed to be just long enough to make it around the back of my head, across my cheek and into my mouth. So don't worry about that turd, you get used to the taste.

RE: A look in the Mirror
You put something else up for us to look at and I wonder why
I`m nothing you have need fear of, said the spider to the fly
with one leg the spider shows the fly something and makes his web flutter
and while the fly`s busy watching that, spider grabs the fly with another
so goes the story of the spider and the fly and there being nothing to fear
or is it the Troll of Truth and the story of a mirror, that he sees so clear
and each of us in their turn and mine not yet, but in a while
but I can`t help feel like that fly when he saw the spider smile

RE: A look in the Mirror
Yeah, after the first 1/2 hour of sucking on the... nevermind. sorry CB, no more bad images.

Yeah, cows can be filthy, but I always enjoyed going along with my dad on farm calls. Farming is a hard life to be sure, but kind of a romantic one. Working with your hands. Raising and caring for the animals - then sending them off to the slaughter house. Oh, the memories you would have. LOL. Seriously, I have a lot of respect for people who work the land and run farms. It takes a person a lot tougher than me to do that kind of work.

So, since this troll is a nice troll, is s/he really a troll? Yes, lots of people have jumped on this thread, but the "troll" has not said anything inflamitory. Maybe we could call him/her... umm... something else - I can't think of something that is appropriate that fits.

RE: A look in the Mirror
A Troll

A troll is a troll, what can I say.
Look in the dictionary, he is descibed this way:

A supernatural creature of Scandanavian folklore, everyone cringes.

Often described as living in caves or under bridges.

Don't be scared, he is tiny and small,
Just kick him in the stomach, and he'll curl into a ball.

RE: A look in the Mirror
How, lipstick hiker, a kick to me, would you give
Have you found the bridge, beneath which I live
And Oldie, so far, the reflections have been nice
Though some, for lack of manners, shall pay the price

A bunny, a Cur, and a girl from the hill
Oft times beyond fun, their attacks, aimed to kill
They are long winded, insist THEIR opinions, all heed
And times, from my bite, my tongue, it does bleed

A positive tone, this thread, will try to maintain
Or reflections so far given, would all be in vain
For some in this room, the view won?t be so pretty
And those, as they appear, I hope the mirror will pity

The Cur of which I speak, is not dear Sarabelle
The bunny and girl, I think, know him well
Who?s next in the line, step up for a glimpse
But do step with caution, lest the view make you wince

All you say about me is honest and true. If we should meet I'll gladly share a brew. White Z is my favorite it is a comfortable wine, I taste it in the evenings somewhere near dinner time. Of the trails you all do so talk, my wish is to meet you for a summer time walk. The lessons I learn hold value and true, I wish to walk the trails with all of you. Until that time when we should all meet, my promise to you is a heart that is deep.

My Dear Troll-of-Truth,

I too find this thread boring because you have revealed nothing unseen. Those who are honest with themselves will not be surprised with what you say. Those who would be surprised are so far removed from the mirror that even if you held it in front of their face, they would close their eyes and their minds to you. Do you type in vain? What or who are you trolling for?

On most cloudy days, Sunshine will appear
Given more time, the truth will be clear
Will their eyes close, or will they attack
Choices are theirs, it's the manners some lack

I will say to them, stay out of this room
But once in the mirror, they often see gloom
And asked from you Sunshine, is my typing in vain
Not today, anyway, for outside is all rain

Flyguy6x, you think compliments are boring
What is it you like, of that, I'm imploring
It is of yourself, not of others that you think
Stay off my bridge, I say that with no wink

For those of you trying to identify Mr. ToT, his reference to the weather may help you narrow it down geographically...

RE: A look in the Mirror
Ok, maybe not romantic in the dirty, sh!tty, smelly sense, but romantic in the notion that it is an institution that helped build our country and an institution that many of us have ties (ancestoral or current) to. Farming is romantic in the sense that it is true work in the sense that a person manipulates and works materials by hand and with sweat to achieve (hopefully) great results that could potentially feed/help thousands.

RE: A look in the Mirror
Explorer, your mirror, does swell your head
Instead of your mirror, try glasses instead
Of school in the summer, baume speaks of "no class"
Then chimes in gojo, with threats to my a$$

Fear not my friend gojo, of AmyG, words are nice
But the chivalrous threat, does add some spice
Would this be only, one of your spontaneous rants
Or could your aim, be inside of her pants

Of clues to my bridge, Explorer refers to the weather
While over my head, flies birds of warm feather
The view from my bridge, contains woods and a creek
Only of these clues, at this time will I speak

My work does now call me, my chores to attend
So, at this time, my verse I shall end
Someone approaches, my mirror to inspect
Next in the mirror, who shall reflect

RE: A look in the Mirror
It`s strange, I don`t know how many have asked me, if I am you
and I ask myself why is it they see me when you share your view
because if you look in a mirror you`ll see that you have a twin
the one that holds the secrets to all you know and where you`ve been
and they are the other side of you, left if you are right
and no one knows me like myself so, why do I fear you might

Big Foot, while your twin I'm not, not bad it would be
From my point of view, I think, it is often you also see
Proud you should be, of they way you speak, the way you do converse
The respect and the manners that you show, all others should rehearse

They ask of you, could it be, are you that new troll
Any many here would say yes, if it were put to a poll
Now if they read my verse, and think, it may be in your style
Anyone could clearly see, your better by a mile

Your verse it is I like, and your style that I copy
Confusion it may cause, only mine at times is sloppy
I hope that when it comes the time, your back to the woods and trail
I have an oppurtunity to go with you, at this I will not fail

Hey! I was trying to make a joke -- Dick Solomon is John Lithgow's character from "Third Rock From The Sun" and that line is from a very funny episode and is also frequently used in promos for the show. Did I threaten to kick your ass? No, not me, but somehow I become the first person to actually be INSULTED by Mr. Nice Troll.
