Visiting any one of them and experience/live in those cultures would be something I couldn't pay enough to ever do. Just think about what it would be like to live during the middle kingdom in Egypt, or in dynastic China, or watch the struggle of Mohammad in Arabia, or to be surrounded by the intelligentsia of the Italian Renniassance, or witness the harsh realities of slavery in colonial America. “I've always thought about where I'd like to go back to in history. The old west sure looked good to me because I like horses as a way of getting around & I liked those pretty big hooped dresses.

The reality, the dirt streets made a mess of those dresses, and there were no modern day appliances to clean things. Like mel, I would also want to keep the washer/dryer combo. I also agree with mel about the diseases, and life spans.

The wild, wild west is my fantasy for maybe a month or two, but I like the way women are respected today for their minds. What I would really like to do is go back 10 years and be able to buy reasonable property in Washington State.”

Things were much different back then...no land plants existed yet, just a barren landscape of weathered rock.
