ARC'TERYX

RE: ARC'TERYX
Lookingglass has one, and likes it. I like the old style of my Redwing. I like all the individual pockets; it's easier to find things.

RE: ARC'TERYX
Wow! great prices on one of the best packs made. IMHO, I hate it when a deal comes along after I've paid full price. Arcteryx just don't go on sale that often.

Maybe has something to do with REI buying them out.

RE: ARC'TERYX
Arc'teryx sounds a lot like my TT name. Hmmm. Too bad I don't even know what ARc'teryx is.

RE: ARC'TERYX
Artex, Arc'teryx is a pack manufacturer. IMHO the best one around! Their packs are expensive down in the States, but totally reasonable up here in Canada. Raddy would tell you the Gregory packs are better tho'!

RE: ARC'TERYX
well, the arc'teryxs are bombproof packs. and i'm sure the fit is magnificent, but they just did not fit me too well.

RE: ARC'TERYX
I tried on several different packs last year while searching for a new one, and the Arc'teryx fit the best. I've been told they fit women better than a lot of the supposed "ladies packs" available. I totally agree after using it last summer. I took mine on trips totalling around 200 miles last year, and I lOVE IT! Beats the pants off the REI Valhalla pack I used in previous years, although it doesn't have quit as much room. I just wish they had a pocket for my platty, but I just put it in the top pocket...seems to work fine though, and the gravity feed sure helps with the platty.

RE: ARC'TERYX
Is my pack really that heavy??? Holy cowbells! I guess after you carry a 53lb pack(I have no idea why it has to be that weight!)around 2x/week, you just don't notice it! Maybe I should start looking at ways to lighten it up....

RE: ARC'TERYX
there's nothing better than an arcteryx pack. Not a Dana, Gregory, or Osprey. And nothing else is even close. Even if they are a little heavier, they carry a whole lot better, and that translates into less pain at the end of the day.

RE: ARC'TERYX
yeah, they are good, but it comes down to fit. and there's nothing better than fit. not arcteryx dana, gregory, or osprey.

the bora 80 was on sale for cheaper than my gregory, but why should i get a heavier pack that does not fit ME right?
