THE PASSING OF A HEROView MessagesRE: THE PASSING OF A HERO “A bit pissy aren't we? A good troll never takes his victim's reactions personal Mutt. By my count you are the only one who has resorted to cursing. Would that be a score for the TTers? Judges? Judges? *<8O)” 10:32:15 AM 2/21/01 RE: THE PASSING OF A HERO “But, I'm not pissed, Mutt. I just think it's sad that fans of his cannot share their feelings in peace. It's also sad that there are people in this world who know how to gain attention only through negativity.” 10:32:18 AM 2/21/01 RE: THE PASSING OF A HERO “Since my services were summoned... After hours of careful review, painstaking attention to detail, and much statistical number crunching I have the official score. Unfortunately I must divide the score into "sub-scores" by category. This will allow for a more accurate assesment of points. Here goes... Nigal gets 5 points for carefully disecting Mutts post, with a bonus of 3 points for adding information regarding trolling habits, ettiquitte and rules. Well done. LeSubtil gets 3 points for the posts that embodies the utmost grace and tact. He shows immense compassion for the family of an individual personally unknown to himself. Plus a 3 point bonus for his attempts to keep this thread as it was intented. Excellent. Unfortunately Mutt didnt fair so well. He gets one point for showing up at TT again after Bacpac crippled him on the Ashcroft thread ( please see thread to verify). However for his poor arguments, resorting to personal attacks (calling LeSubtil a "cheesy bastard" and berating Nigal for the time Nigal spent dissecting Mutts prior post instead of focusing on fact) and generally sour outlook on life Mutt will lose 8 points. Dont worry Mutt during the bonus round it is possible to make up those lost points. Official Tally after one round. Nigal 8 points LeSubtil 6 points Mutt -7 points” 11:06:02 AM 2/21/01 RE: THE PASSING OF A HERO “Thanks for the update, BACPAC! Your score: ZERO” 11:12:34 AM 2/21/01 RE: THE PASSING OF A HERO “lumpy, you dumbass, that was nigal, not bacpac.” 11:16:41 AM 2/21/01 RE: THE PASSING OF A HERO “...or maybe mtn girl, but it sure wasn't bacpac.” 11:18:01 AM 2/21/01 RE: THE PASSING OF A HERO “Why not bacpac, raddy?” 11:23:11 AM 2/21/01 RE: THE PASSING OF A HERO “Lumpy you lose 1 point for geussing wrong. Radagast you get one point for correcting Lumpy but lose a point for assuming it was Nigal (like you always do).And you lose another point for calling lumpy names. Official Tally after two rounds. Nigal 8 LeSubtil 6 Mutt -7 Lumpy -1 Radagast -1” 11:26:20 AM 2/21/01 RE: THE PASSING OF A HERO “Lizs you lose 1 point for being argumenative. Sorry folks the rules are tough.” 11:28:05 AM 2/21/01 RE: THE PASSING OF A HERO “do i get a point if i buy a round of brew?” 11:29:35 AM 2/21/01 RE: THE PASSING OF A HERO “Yes, but no imports allowed.” 11:32:23 AM 2/21/01 RE: THE PASSING OF A HERO “Official scorekeeper, two minutes unsportsmanlike conduct, and a game misconduct. Some people here have been called a$$hole (and worse) for trivializing the death of this man. Now you come here making a game of this thread. Take it elsewhere.” 11:33:01 AM 2/21/01 RE: THE PASSING OF A HERO “flyguy6x -2 points for arguing with the OFFICIAL SCOREKEEPER! I never play the game, I only keep score. I am like Switzerland, neutral.Swayed only by facts and data ( okay and occasionally beer). My judgement is clear like a mountain spring my motives pure like the driven snow. Anyone who says anything bad about Mr. Earnhart loses 1000 points.” 11:38:38 AM 2/21/01 RE: THE PASSING OF A HERO “Go blow yourself.” 11:45:03 AM 2/21/01 RE: THE PASSING OF A HERO “who you calling dumbass? kiss my lump. i've paid my dues time after time i've done my sentence but committed no crime and bad mistakes i've made a few i've had my share of sand kicked in my face but i've come through and i mean to go on and on and on and on i are the champion - my friends and i'll keep on fighting till the end i are the champion i are the champion no time for losers 'cause i are the champion of the world” 11:49:10 AM 2/21/01 RE: THE PASSING OF A HERO “-45 points to flyguy6x for resorting to bad words. +2 to lumpy for his tribute to his favorite band Queen and his teenage heart throb Freddie Mercury.” 11:54:40 AM 2/21/01 RE: THE PASSING OF A HERO “My guess is Nigal is "official scorekeeper", to show off his trolling prowess. I know, I know, minus 10 points for guessing wrong. but I'm so far behind, I gots nothing to lose!” 11:57:29 AM 2/21/01 RE: THE PASSING OF A HERO “Mutt you are wrong on 2 counts. -7 points for an incorrect geuss. -6 points for geussing a minus 10. but you get a small "humility bonus" of 2 good job!” 12:02:53 PM 2/21/01 RE: THE PASSING OF A HERO “Can I get into this game!!! PLEASE oh Pretty please. " +2 to lumpy for his tribute to his favorite band Queen and his teenage heart throb Freddie Mercury. " That one was too funny!!! LMAO!!!! I would just like to say, I and millions like me will miss Dale. He will forever be in my heart and riding shotgun in ever morning commute. Trolls will never identify themselves so it is worthless to guess. But this trolls wit and sauveness does ring a bell.” 12:26:58 PM 2/21/01 RE: THE PASSING OF A HERO “Racing has led to the development of many many innovations from which we passenger car drivers benefit every time we turn the key. Antilock brakes Electronic fuel injection ...uh ...uh ...just to name a couple.” 1:19:08 PM 2/21/01 RE: THE PASSING OF A HERO “official scorekeeper - BIG minus for disallowing import beers!!!” 2:06:53 PM 2/21/01 RE: THE PASSING OF A HERO “The company that makes the harness's for race car drivers has received 15 new orders after the crash.” 2:17:31 PM 2/21/01 RE: THE PASSING OF A HERO “That scorekeeper dude sounds almost as smuckin' fart as Dr Laura. And as for as that bit about morals being key to some religions, I think people hold moral values INSPITE of religion, mot because of it! 3:22:59 PM 2/21/01 RE: THE PASSING OF A HERO “Not a race fan but I know who drove #3. From what I've seen of Dale E. he looked like a good man. I have to agree with the others that say he was a better role model then a lot of NBA/NFL/NHL sports people. At least he wasn't a known muderer, or drug dealer that as allowed to race!!! It's always sad to lose the good ones. R.I.P. Mr. E.” 3:34:31 PM 2/21/01 RE: THE PASSING OF A HERO “Tom T, if that is what you think is the doctrine of the Judeo-Islamic-Christian persuasion no wonder you reject it. I would to. But you are wrong. There are people that claim to be of the Judeo-Islamic-Christian persuasion that do act that way, but they are NOT living by the teachings. Love of other, all others, is at the base of the Judeo-Islamic-Christian persuasion. It is also very hard to live by. Try it. And you are right that some that do ?live it? are not associated with any religion. But now I would like to hear you or Mutt slam Mother Teresa. (I did it again, sucked in)” 3:43:15 PM 2/21/01 RE: THE PASSING OF A HERO “I take a crack at that! Mother Teresa cared for the poor, it is true. She also campaigned against birth comtrol or family planning in the midst of the wreckage(poverty) that is propagated by a lack of birth control and family planning claiming that the aforementioned is against god's will. Those religious groups also have, and some still do, allow slavery and the subjugation of women and children. I will say that many people of a religious persuasion are good and true to the "good" parts of their faith. I stated in the other "E" thread that I am wholly sympathetic to the fans of Mr E. I saw a display of some kind in the grocery store last night that featured Mr E and noticed that his wedding band was visible. 4:01:52 PM 2/21/01 RE: THE PASSING OF A HERO “Living to help others is "part of the problem"? Love of the to be born is a bad thing? Mtn gal talked about loving all not just selected groups. Mother Teresa did not cause the poverty.” 4:13:40 PM 2/21/01 RE: THE PASSING OF A HERO “There are mnany good people who admired the D.E., and lots of reasons to admire him. Its too bad this thread got so deteriorated. Nobody is trashing other threads by talking about this untimely death... or criticizing other people for not "getting" it. Its a shame. Dale E. touched a lot of lives, and by every account was a good man. There's plenty to be sad about when someone like that dies.” 4:44:24 PM 2/21/01 RE: THE PASSING OF A HERO “BTW scorekeeper thanks for the kind words. I don't like conflict, but sometimes I just can't keep my mouth shut. Usually I just put my foot in it :-)” 8:19:22 PM 2/21/01 RE: THE PASSING OF A HERO “WOW! its pretty funny when folks gotta fight about something as SUBJECTIVE as a personal hero. Some would find Mr Earnhart to be a hero and others not. Though there are those who thrive on debate (myself included at times). This just seems to be shameful. Allow those who admire the man to mourn.” 9:24:06 PM 2/21/01 RE: THE PASSING OF A HERO “earnhardt lap belt found broken after NASCAR crash! suprised they haven't blamed clinton---------yet.” 11:14:27 AM 2/23/01 RE: THE PASSING OF A HERO “LOL Lumpy! I'm not a fan of racing but I'm very sorry the man died. One thing I thought about was he probably went out the way he would have chosen to. Think about it guys, haven't most of us at one time or another made the statement that we would like to go out while out on the trail? He went out doing what he loved best. Best journey to you #3.” 11:40:52 AM 2/23/01 RE: THE PASSING OF A HERO “Honestly Lumpy I hope you're being sarcastic and not a true flamer like you are. Because the last bit of that statement is pure dribble.” 12:00:15 PM 2/23/01 I'llBetHe'sRaceingSt.PeterAroundThePearlyGates “Hard to believe it's been a year now.” 8:32:25 AM 2/18/02 “I was very glad that they didn't try and make the race yesterday all about Dale. About the only thing I heard all during speed weeks was the unvieling of his statue.” 8:44:58 AM 2/18/02 “Big Dale sure wasn't in the car with his boy yesterday. hehehe” 9:29:59 AM 2/18/02 “Uh, YEAH, like there's only one seat in them things! Where the hell's he gonna sit? besides, that'd be a bit morbid don't ya think?” 9:33:34 AM 2/18/02 “In Spirit man, in spirit.” 9:59:34 AM 2/18/02 “That is kinda funny to picture Jr. riding around with a corpse though. hahaha.” 10:00:50 AM 2/18/02 “LOL! I was gonna make post about smells but I'm not THAT sick.” 10:23:21 AM 2/18/02 “trailer trash=hero?wtf!” 11:37:09 AM 2/18/02 “I think there is a place in Georgia with some extra corpses.” 12:06:18 PM 2/18/02 “LOL! I was going to post to the Daytona thread about how many wrecks there were followed by the comment, "I haven't seen that many body parts spread around sense the last time I was in Noble Georgia!" I have better taste than that though.” 12:22:39 PM 2/18/02 “Big Dale sure wasn't in the car with his boy yesterday. hehehe" walkindude 09:29:59 AM 02/18/02 .................or maybe he was. He had some freaky luck at the 500 over the years.” 7:43:19 PM 2/18/02
