Skinny #&%!$ing Puppy! Last night at the 930 club. Front stage. My ears are ringing, I'm shakier than a mofo, have no electrolytes in my body, and feel like death warmed over.

Awesome #&%!$ing show!

Nice BM. Did you get cleansed, folded and manipulated?

Apparently TKK just released a new CD.

LOL! I think 75% of the crowd wasn't born when Skinny Puppy first formed. it was shamefully not sold out. The new album is a bit of a dissapointment but screw it. And Seeing TKK again would be awesome!

Edit: yes, hpm. And then some, dammit! I had no idea TKK put something out. Seeing them and ministry would complete a Quadfecta. (Iggy & Skinny)

Nice. Skinny Puppy always put on an interesting show.

BTW Bear I picked up the new TKK.
I dig.

So last night I went and saw the Fetchin Bones reunion gig here in Charlotte. Last time I saw them was on their last tour in '89 when I was just out of high school.

Interestingly enough I now work with their drummer and play a little music with him on the side.

I might have to get it. I'd be kind of skeered of a TKK show. I picture 50-60 yr olds squeezed into leather that barely fit them 30yrs ago.

Shudder.

The puppy show was awesome. cEvin Key walked right past us just before they went on. And Nivek Ogre even smiled a few times. I think he's kind of gotten to that point. You know, just happy that people still love them. I might have a few pics of it but only on my cell.

I'll be taking my wife to an Alison Krauss concert this Saturday for her birthday.

Mmmm, a hottie with an awesome voice. Yea, we're going for her birthday, that's it.

Has anyone here seen Bela Fleck and the Flecktones? I remembered Budder always raved about them and they're coming to a small place near me live so I thought I'd go. My main interest is in seeing him playing with Victor Whooten.

I once went on a week long surf trip back when I was in High School. Somehow we forgot the 8-track case and all we had was the Foghat tape in the player. I never got tired of listening to Slow Ride, although it did haunt my dreams.

I went and saw one of my favorite 90's bands Candlebox last night in the little shythole we fondly call Bogarts. They were amazing and I am in awe of how Kevin Martin can still hit every single note with the same power and volume as he did some 16 years ago.

This kid just turned 21 and he's really got the chops.
There seems to be a bit of Rory Gallagher, and some other late greats, in this guy's playing and singing and song-writing.

They played at a little dive in D.C. Monday night and if I had been ambulatory I would have driven the 50 miles to see them.

I wonder what these kids from The Isle of Man thought when they got a look at The Rock And Roll Hotel and it's environs on H Street NE, D.C.
"What kind of sh*thole is this?!?!?!"

The Rock And Roll Hotel is the same dive where we had the wake/memorial party for our dearly departed Bearmagnet last January.
