I'll never be able to see my FAVE band...Stone Temple Pilots ever again, they broke up. I loved every song they did, saw them in concert 3 times. They totally kicked butt!!!” 7:22:21 PM 10/19/05 Boulder Theatre, Boulder Colorado “last night, Oct 30: started at 8:00 with Aiden - they were ok, but need some work to get it really together. Followed up with Bayside from New York - they were really tight. Then came Silverstein and finally the headline act Hawthorne Heights. Really cool night of music - my daughter was down in the front row and got a pick and lots of signatures. There was only about 1,000 people there (small venue) and the band member were out in the audience after they played. The bass player from Silverstein stood in front of us during Hawthorne's set. Before the show, we were walking around Boulder and the guys from Hawthorne walked past and we pointed it out to the girls - the guitar player Casey was really cool and chatted with the kids for a minute.” 7:48:13 AM 10/31/05 “That's awesome, sounds like a good time. It's always great when members of the band take time to chat. Disturbed is on Friday/Saturday - my fingers start shaking just thinking about it. AHH I can't wait.” 8:08:43 AM 10/31/05 “oh man! We're just waiting for Disturbed to put up a Denver date - their new album is superintense!” 8:30:20 AM 10/31/05 “Check out the "tenative" cities at the bottom of the page. granted there's no date with the cities yet... http://www.jagermeistermusictour.com/core/tour_dates.cfm last edited: 10/31/05 8:34:43 AM” 8:32:49 AM 10/31/05 “Ever since I've gotten the new album, I don't think there's hardly been anything else in my cd player... it is amazing, Best band Ever.” 8:35:58 AM 10/31/05 “YAAAYYY!!! We're at least on the list! Got another small venue show in a couple of weeks - Fall Out Boy and half a dozen other bands on the Nintendo Fusion Tour. I love the small venues!” 8:37:15 AM 10/31/05 “Yeah, I much prefer a small venue. Last weekend I saw sevendust in a venue that sold out in like 4 hrs, 800 tickets. Disturbed this weekend is in First Ave, which holds I believe 1000, can't wait. Though there is something to be said about seeing bands like NIN or SOAD with 20,000 other fans. As far as the rest of my concert schedule goes. Default is at the same place I saw Sevenust. Static-x is at the same place I'm seeing Disturbed. Slipknot is another show at a large venue. I think that's all I have tickets for. last edited: 10/31/05 8:42:45 AM” 8:41:09 AM 10/31/05 “well, I'm kinda buzzin, sore as hell... #&%!$ing incredible. 2 nights that rocked my ass off, Amazing.” 11:37:58 PM 11/05/05 The Fillmore Auditorium, Denver CO “Saw Panic at the Disco, Boys Night Out, Motion City Soundtrack, The Starting Line and Fall Out Boy. Panic and Boys had trouble with their sound levels, but otherwise put on good sets. Motion City was really good and Starting Line did a great set. Fall Out Boy rocked the house! During their set, i saw the biggest mosh pit i've ever seen - consumed over half the front part of the floor. Going to work tomorrow (this) morning is gonna suck! Bebo is really lovin the little concert binge we've been on lately. last edited: 11/10/05 2:31:49 AM” 2:30:43 AM 11/10/05 “I think last night was the most "civilized" concert I've ever been to. Nobody was fighting for position, not even the hint of a mosh pit, nothing. Doesn't mean that it was a bad show... Default, Hinder, and Bif Naked” 6:06:05 AM 11/10/05 “I got to see Interpol before I moved to Africa. That was a great show. It was kinda like what you are talking about being "Civilized."” 6:12:33 AM 11/10/05 “Slipknot, Unearth and As I lay Dying” 12:34:27 AM 11/14/05 “Holy #&%!$! I'm so excited I just had to come tell somebody! Lol, so last weekend Korn tickets went on sale, I was sitting religiously at my computer the moment they were to go on sale, and #&%!$! within seconds they were gone. Nothing, I was so pissed. Today I get an e-mail from a friend with a link to the Down in the Valley site, kind of like a hot topic store, anyway it says they're giving away free tickets with a presale purchase of Korn's next album. So, I go and buy two tickets, and two autographed CD's for less than the price of one Ticket.” 5:08:09 PM 11/17/05 “WOW! Awesome!” 5:20:22 PM 11/17/05 Too Country For The Radio “Going to see the Cherryholmes tommorrow night. Some true country music, not that sugar-coated top-40 pop crap they play on local country stations and the CMA channel.” 9:13:51 PM 11/17/05 “I like this fairly new singer, Michael Buble with an accent over the "e". He's a crooner like Sinatra and Dean Martin. He's a young guy, but sings some of the really old toons. You may have heard him recently on the radio singing his popular song called "Home".” 7:41:53 PM 11/20/05 “They play that song on XM Cafe a lot.” 9:53:48 PM 11/20/05 “I saw U2 in Miami last Sunday. Now that was a great weekend!” 10:24:19 PM 11/20/05 “I watched 60 Minutes last night and they had a story on U2. One of the few bands in the history of R&R to not stumble and fall. I would love to see them, but I hate those stadium shows. I have been fortunate enough to see a great many concerts near the stage, and being a speck in the nosebleed section doesn't work well for me.” 5:41:22 AM 11/21/05 “I was down in front about 20 feet away from Bono. Yes that is gloating.” 9:45:43 AM 11/21/05 “You can get music cds from the library and search other libraries to find ones you want. I asked the librarian if I can copy them and she said yes as long as you don't have that Sony software that won't let you. How's about that!!!!” 11:45:58 AM 11/21/05 “OMG Currahee! I am so jealous! I bet it was a great show. U2 has been one of my favorite bands since about the 7th grade! Wow, thats a long time!” 12:42:38 PM 11/21/05 “I have seen U2 about 10 times, first show was for the Joshua Tree tour. While attending the Actung Baby tour, we got better seats and a friend got yanked up on the stage by Bono and they made out on the stage! It was all planned ahead of time.” 12:54:56 PM 11/21/05 “We splurged on VIP tickets because my boss paid for the airfare & hotel. We stayed at the Palms on South Beach which was also killer. After the concert we talked to the girl Bono pulled up on stage. She was a trembling mess hours later. It was a killer weekend.” 1:13:18 PM 11/21/05 “That is how our friend was too! She totally changed after that experience.” 1:17:37 PM 11/21/05 “Damn!! Static-x was awesome!! Backed by Ill Nino and Opiate for the Masses, amazing energy... incredible show!” 11:18:58 PM 11/27/05 “Oh, and tonight was my 4th night in a row at a show, time to rest for a couple days.” 12:00:38 AM 11/28/05 Last Night “Last night I went to see Dave Matthews Band. Great show! Over 2 1/2 hours of great music. This past Saturday I went to see a comedian, Robert Schimmel. Very Funny!” 8:47:24 AM 12/07/05 “Boy am I tired! Last night we drove down to Cincinnati in the snow and cold, stood outside for an hour freezing and then spent 6 hours standing. It was great! Luckily we were able to get some seats up the balcony with some other old folks. The line up for the night was; One Wicked Wisdom Social Burn Non Point Sevendust Both One and Social Burn were vanilla to the point that I wonder how bands like this can get signed? Wicked Wisdom was a bit weird. They were a predominantly black group that was playing thrash/hardcore music. Even stranger is that the lead singer is Jada Pinkett Smith. She sounded horrible. It’s just too hard for such a small voice to compete with a hardcore/thrash band playing. She screamed a lot. It was cool though because Will Smith was sitting at the next table from us when they were playing. Non Point flat out rawked. I had never even heard of these guys because I don’t listen to the radio but they were so tight and sounded so good. I’m buying one of their CDs for sure. Sevendust was Sevendust. They sound like bands should sound live…perfect. I’ve never heard an audience sing a groups songs so well and with one voice. At one point Lajon Witherspoon couldn’t sing because he was so overwhelmed by the audience’s singing. Awesome show!” 9:00:59 AM 2/05/06 “I've been thinking about getting tickets to this show... I don't know why I hesitate.” 1:15:48 PM 2/05/06 “just got tickets for David Gray and Aqualung at the Ryman Auditorium on March 2nd and Oasis also at the Ryman on March 26th. That's gonna be sick. Tried to get Van Morrison tix, but he sold out in less than 6 minutes.” 10:09:28 PM 2/09/06 “Heading out to Seether/Shinedown pretty quick here - Hell yeah!” 11:54:50 AM 2/13/06 “gonna see 2 good acts this weekend. The Features on Saturday and The Fray on Sunday. Can't wait.” 4:47:47 PM 2/13/06 “I got my ass kicked last night by Seether/shinedown” 2:01:00 PM 2/14/06 “Seether is one of those bands that is pretty good on the CD but 10x better live. And much harder too. I just got tickets for Matisyahu. last edited: 2/14/06 2:08:28 PM” 2:07:45 PM 2/14/06 “My sons, especially the younger one like Matisyahu a lot.” 9:27:03 PM 2/14/06 “I just got a hold of staind/theory of a deadman tickets that have been sold out for over a month!! for sunday's show.” 12:02:44 AM 2/15/06 “nihilism is nifty in 10 days” 9:27:49 PM 2/15/06 “I went to see the North Mississippi All-Stars last weekend in Nashville. Good stuff!” 9:30:01 PM 2/15/06 “seein Reverend Horton Heat on Sunday!!! That will definately be a fun time.” 9:30:01 PM 2/15/06 “the rev! that would be fun. id like to see a rhh/jon spencer blues explosion double bill” 9:35:51 PM 2/15/06 These 43 year old bones CAN mosh! “Music feeds moods. Feeling happy? Happy music winds its way into the CD player... Feeling down? Well, there's some Muddy Waters or Albert King to comiserate with... Mad at my wife? Every single time that happens, the CD "Pretty Hate Machine" by Nine Inch Nails ends up spinning. Every single time. Last Thursday night, in Rochester, NY, I finally got the chance to stand and witness the musical onslaught that is Nine Inch Nails played live, right in front of my face. Awesome. Simply awesome. I walked out deaf in my good ear, sweaty, and sore. D@mn it was a good time!! Ordin last edited: 3/11/06 11:32:54 PM” 11:31:51 PM 3/11/06 “LOL! I never get to go down on the floor because my wife is so small and short. Going with a buddy to see Balken Beatbox and Matisyahu this coming weekend. Can't wait!” 8:49:06 AM 3/12/06 “Saw Aiden last weekend - right down on the stage. A new band called Ion - local from Denver warmed it up. They all rocked their faces off!” 9:10:57 AM 3/12/06 “ ![]() ”3:59:12 PM 3/12/06 “I finally got to go see Matisyahu last night. I was somewhat afraid that the live show could not live up to my expectations. They went above and beyond what I was hoping for. The energy was palpable. I have seen many bands at the little shlthole in the ghetto we fondly call Bogarts. I have seen all kinds of acts there. The sold out Sevendust show last month didn’t even come close the energy that was flying in that place. When they played king without a crown every single person in the place was jumping and I thought the building was going to come down. Oh,a nd Balken Beat Box rocked the house as well opening up. last edited: 3/19/06 9:03:57 AM” 9:00:15 AM 3/19/06 “OASIS at the Ryman Auditorium tonight. What an odd venue for the brothers Gallagher. There are about 20 of us going to the show tonight. It's gonna be sick (and so will I tomorrow)!!” 3:42:14 PM 3/26/06 “saw nin at cincinnati 4 weeks ago. killer!” 3:46:20 PM 3/26/06 Jump to Page << prev
