RE: @$#!^% Thin Mints
Two boxes of Thin Mints in amateur. If your G.S. cookie bill is under $50, you aren't serious about this.

I always hide one box of Thin Mints in the back corner of the freezer which I try to forget until a few months later. I do this when no one else is watching, of course!

No no...I didn't *get* two boxes...I'm *on* the second box. There are many more to go.

I keep pretending that I'm getting them 'cuz they're so great on the trail, but so many of them don't seem to make it.

w-dude--don't you get them from real Girl Scouts? I figure if they get prizes and stuff for making sales, and I'm gonna buy them anyway, I might as well help out the troop or whatever.

They set up in front of Wal-Mart and sell em to people as they come out. They look like little panhandelers.

Yeah, here too. In today's society, who wants their kid going door to door. It's not like when I was a little kid.

Samoas are yummy! Unfortunately, you only get like 8 cookies in a box.

RE: @$#!^% Thin Mints
Any chance we can convince the G.S. to set up cookie stands at backcountry campsites or trail shelters? Maybe it can be an environmental/entrepreneurial partnership. The G.S. carry out the packaging for a recycling badge, and the backpackers carry the cookie weight away with them as "carbo loading."

RE: @$#!^% Thin Mints
I am curious - what do you people pay for GS cookies in different parts of the country ? A woman my wife works with lives 60 miles away - she sells them for $3.00 vs $3.50 around here. Are there different prices around the country - or is this woman loosing money ?

RE: @$#!^% Thin Mints
roseymonster- How right you are! Samoas are the best! Thin Mints a close second.

Cost here in NC is 3.50 a box. I was told the price was regulated Nationally by the G.S.A.

RE: @$#!^% Thin Mints
we could eliminate the national debt by placing a 1 cent tax on every box of girl scout cookies. We would even have money left over to put into defense.
