waterproof suit to tell you about
yesterday my daughter came home from work,(in a hospital) with her disposable lab jacket on. it is light blue with white cotton cuffs on the sleeves. she told me they were to keep blood off her uniform and that blood would not go through it.so.... i put it on ...got in the shower and what do you know.... no leeks! totally waterproof and they just throw them away.they also weigh about as much as a paper towel. i tryed to rip one and could not with my bare hands.i dont know how many of these i can get my hands on but they sure make real nice emergancy rain jackets. ill see tonight when she comes home again if she brought anouther one home.if so tell me if you need one.

No wonder health care costs are so high--my $4 band-aid has to cover the expenses incurred by the larcenous staff. . . .

Hey Facemelter, I thought you lived in Canada. Your $4 band aid is due to your wonderful socialized medicine.

Sounds neat MOM!! and worth a try in the woods.

Facemelter, good for you, now if we can only get the rest of the liberal whiners here in America to do the same. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I got frogg toggs and work in a lab. The material is amazingly similar. Our lab coats must shed stuff like pee, crap, blood and stuff. They make one piece suits that make a person look like the pillsbury doughboy out of the same stuff. Can't get my hands on one now but I'll bet it would work good. I read somewhere where you could order the medical stuff online. Some brands are better than others and none that I know of has zippers. I have a sneaky feeling that it's the same stuff!

this stuff is put out by kimberley clark, is light blue and weighs only ozs. i have frogg toggs to and they compare almost the same as far as weight and durability. they have snaps(little plastic ones) in front and nice big pockets.

Instant rainsuit:
1. go to the hardware store
2. buy tool handle rubberizer (stuff you dip tool handles in to give them a rubber grip)
3. go home
4. strip down and coat self in crisco
5. pour on rubberizer
6. Let dry and carefully peel off or just leave on to stay waterproof
7. Have fun with you're custom raingear.

MoT, thanks for the (sincere I'm sure, but unwelcome) offer, but one Facemelter up here is MORE than enough for us 'real' Canadians.

Facemelter, what're you whining about?? What're you doing going to the hospital for a band-aid of all things?!?! FYI, you don't 'pay' for a band-aid unless you buy it from the store...

Oh, unless you aren't allowed to be covered by our healthcare plans... So what's the story?
