climbnow.com screwed me
I bought a pair of trekking poles on Feb. 20, they billed my card on the 22nd. I got an email today saying that they did not get my order until the 28th and they no longer have the product. Sorry, we will credit your account.

This pisses me off! Don't take my money if you do not have product to send. Man, I'm really mad.

RE: climbnow.com screwed me
I even got an order confirmation and order number when I ordered! I printed it out and everything.

I'd call back with a few suggestions and (maybe) choice words to say to 'em!

Let 'em know you're pissed!

Already done my friend. What they did was bad, but what makes it really bad is now I have to find another pair of poles for $30.
Any suggestions?

Switchback:

Check out Sierra Trading Post--they have great cust. svc. and I've been very pleased with them.

BTW, they have Komperdells for $50/pair. Granted, that's $20 more than you wanted to spend, but you get what you pay for. . . (not shocks). I'll try to attach the site below

http://www.sierratradingpost.com/product.asp?base%5Fno=99627&str%5Fbase%5Fno=22530%2C45132%2C61217%2C61315%2C61316%2C61717%2C61826%2C61926%2C61927%2C71311%2C82293%2C99610%2C99625%2C99626%2C99627%2C&header%5Ftitle=Keyword+Search&page%5Fname=search%2Fkeyword%5Fresults%2Easp&search%5Ftype=trekking&size1=&size2=&gender=0&ShowImages=yes&sq=0&cont=1&intPgNo=1&mscssid=A02K452S28S92G8A0G0KN0SFN9AK617C

On second thought, just go to their site (www.sierratradingpost.com) and do a keyword search.

Hope this helps--did you like all that garbled http language?

Well, it sounds like they are crediting you account, right? I ordered those poles several months back and I was really pleased with their service. I see they still list poles in stock, though they aren't the ones with the carbide tips (which are the type I got and you most likely wanted).

Have you tried phoning them and asking if those are available?

RE: climbnow.com screwed me
Kleetn - What is their number? The only form of contact I see from their site is email.

I checked when I ordered and their were plenty left. The following week those poles started selling like hotcakes. By the time they supposedly go my order, there were none left.

What I do not understand is how could they not know I ordered when I got an order # and confirmation page and everything. Plus, how could they have charged my account on the 22nd without receiving my order until the 28th. Something is not right! I do not mind being turned down due to stock limitations, but don't charge my account until you ship!

RE: climbnow.com screwed me
Switchback, you're right, I can't see a phone number anywhere on their website. Let me check my paperwork at home and get back to you, maybe there's a number there.
