BpBaby! Great to see you here. You are my hero! Your snowshoes were da bomb in the Whites. With 3 feet of snow on the groun, I would have never made it without them. They are great, thanks again.

Great trip...drove up through New England, stopping at some cool places along the way. Cavorted with some witches in Salem...drove up along the coast alllll the way to Maine. Very cool to pass though quaint fishing villages and such. Dayhiked some in Maine, of course...
one day went to Bar Harbor for a job interview and then a change ala superman outta my suit and into my boots and wild woman attire. The cliffs and coast are gorgeous! (pics don't do it justice)
Drove up to Moosehead lake another day, but didn't see my moose. sigh
Wandered a bit around the AT section near Barren Mt also.

New Hamp on the way back was an absolutely perfect day...bright and sunny. The trip was great and ended too soon. I was glowing all the way back to PA.

You really have to visualize the sun-warmed rocks and the crashing surf to truly appreciate the Maine coast scene...it was mesmerizing.
