OmaHiker's Pictures “Finally, proof that OmaHiker is a real person? And that I didn't just make up a bunch of kids as an excuse to buy more gear (OK, they're not all my kids, but that doesn't mean I can't buy gear for them to use!) Feeble attempt at link: OmaHiker's Photopoint Album” 9:14:09 AM 3/16/01 RE: OmaHiker's Pictures “Nice stuff, OmaHiker. Good to see ya! Where were your trips to? Like, where is Two Rivers? Oh and I'm very happy you also have a squirrel! And WHITE to boot!” 11:43:03 AM 3/16/01 RE: OmaHiker's Pictures “Great pics, OmaHiker! I liked the remark about 4 clean shirts for the newbie (one an overnighter)...sounds like my hubby except substitute jeans/pants for shirts)...you just never know what COULD happen, right??? I also thought the "towel tree" was novel...never seen one of those before. Thanks and hope you post more!!!!” 12:09:24 PM 3/16/01 RE: OmaHiker's Pictures “Two Rivers is just south of Venice hard to the, uh, er, banks(?) of the Platte. Only about five miles east of the pig man.” 6:22:37 PM 3/16/01 RE: OmaHiker's Pictures “It's good to see the family out BPing together.” 6:37:50 PM 3/16/01 RE: OmaHiker's Pictures “Pig Ob-Gyn, you LIVE!!! Where ya been??? Say, I think I "met" a fellow RR picture taker you've already "met" on the web. He's in Colorado? Has a great train page? C'mon... ya know who I mean!! Such a small internet world. And........I wondered if that ole Platte River didn't enter the "Two River" picture somehow!! How's it going, POG?” 8:30:10 PM 3/16/01 RE: OmaHiker's Pictures “The other river in the "Two Rivers" is the Elkhorn. Two Rivers is a state recreation area about 10 miles southwest of Omaha. No backpacking trails but it's a nice place to car camp in the fall, they have a heated bathroom that is open year-round(what luxury!). Mr. Pig Doctor, I didn't know you lived around there. Maybe we'll run into each other some time. Do you ever visit Two Rivers?” 11:23:45 PM 3/16/01
