Northwoods hike - Late May

“Hey folks. I'm gonna be done with school (Yippee) in the middle of May and will be spending a couple weeks up in N. Minnesota. I would just like to invite everyone to come hike the Superior Hiking Trail along the North Shore of Lake Superior. If anyone is interested lemme know.”

“Or, any trail around here. N. WI, Boundary Waters, etc.”

“I will be in Madison Wisconsin for 2 weeks around Memorial day.”

“Early July would be the soonest I could make it. Keep us posted, so I can get a better idea of what to shop around for when I get there.”

I would be quite interested in hiking the BWCA both to drive thru the region and to scout it out for a future canoe trip. Good bp'ing destination?

I haven't been in the boundary waters since I was six, so I don't know much about them. What I've seen of the SHT has been beautiful. Cindy lu has seen much more of it than I have.

I don't know exactly where I'll be this summer. I'll be in N MN at least until early June. If I'm around in July, I'd be happy to go on a hike if you are gonna be in the area.

Sirpete, it is about a 6 hour drive from Madison to Duluth and half an hour or more to get to the beginning of the SHT, longer if you want to get to farther up the trail. I will definately be around during the Memorial Day. If you're willing to take the extra time, I'd love a hike.”

“Let me talk to the boss, if ya know what I mean. I'll be drivin out from PA so 6-7 more hrs for a trip ain't nothin but a thing. That is if the wife gives the ok. I will keep you informed if there is any progress in that direction.”

“I'm going to hike the SHT starting May 5. Spit Rock river to Magney, I'd love to meet up with some of youse!”

“Nice hike. I haven't been north of Silver Bay on the trail. May 5 will be the beginning of final's week here tho. How long you gonna be out? If you need a rest when you come through Minneapolis, let me know.”
