Oak Mountain SP- Alabama

“gojo, I heard it was, but can't remember from where, so I could be wrong. I would like too see the southern terminus of the AT move to Mt Cheeha, but doubt that will happen. The other mountains south of Cheeha aren't worthy of a terminus, they're bumps compared to Cheeha.”

“I've got Pinhoti trail map that's got From Adams Gap up to Cheaha State Park. I've hiked pretty much all that whole area. I love the Chinnabee Silent Trail.”

“I've got a tune up type trip planned for May 19-20 at Sipsey Wilderness. Bamahiker and I are using it as a tune-up for the earlier mentioned AT trip. I knew that we would at least be dayhiking the 19th which was why I was hesitant to commit on the 26th. It's now turned into and overnighter. We're meeting at the trailhead about 8 on Sat. morning. I've got a HS graduation to attend for my brother-in-law Fri. nite in a town about 45minutes from the trail. There is a campsite about 1/4 mile from trailhead for anyone interested in coming in Fri nite. We'll be doing about 20 miles total.”
